How is that fucked up? That would be like someone crashing their shitty car on purpose just so that they could claim it as totaled and and get the money for it. It doesn't have anything to do with the law, it's just a matter of finances. Insurance companies have to make money in order to be in business.

I consider suicide to be fatality by mental unhealth in just the same way that dying from cancer is fatality by physical unhealth.

Suicide isn't a a cure for mental or physical unhealth.

what? not all the time.  What about when I get a brain tumor and decide to kill myself, do you consider this depression or anxiety?  No, I consider suicide taking yourself out of a world you never asked to be part of in the first place. Sure, some depressed people kill themselves on impulse but suicide should be legal. 

If you argue for drugs then against suicide, that makes no sense.  This is my body I will do with it as I please, weather it be eating corn flakes or taking a slug to the upper palate of my mouth by the will of my own hands.  Laws against suicide are retarded.

I like during the french revolution under Robespierre  the punishment for attempted suicide was to be killed by guillotine.  fuckin retards lol.

I have no idea what you people think I'm saying, but I assure you that you're jumping to conclusions.

To respond directly: killing yourself because you know you have a fatal disease you don't want to suffer through is basically euthanasia. Is it also suicide? Sure, but that's just semantics.

I'm not arguing for OR against suicide. All I was initially trying to say is that if someone who has life insurance commits suicide, that should not void their policy and leave their family with nothing.

That doesn't make any sense though. Life insurance policies are for unexpected death. Why would they pay you to kill yourself?

Not accident, but unexpected. For instance you can't get life insurance with a preexisting terminal disease. They wouldn't be able to stay in business if you could.

I knew a chick who attempted a pharmaceutical OD.

She was out of the hospital and back to drinking Jagerbombs and turning tricks in no time. :shrug:
