Most "opium" in the US is either fake, or actually black tar heroin. It could have been real though, it seems like more and more people are growing and cultivating it in the US lately, so who knows.
I tell you what, though - I used to have, and still do to an extent, mental and emotional problems. I turned to poppy tea. This was still when it was widely available. It can still be found now very easily, but I get the feeling it's being "watched" pretty closely. But let you tell me about my experience on it.
Yes, it took away all of my negative emotions. It filled me with happiness. With warm, glowing, euphoria. It was my savior from my own mind, and at the time I thought it was my "cure," as well. I thought I would be fine if I just kept taking it, and that it was "healing" me as well. All of those thoughts are delusional, but when you're in the midst of the addiction, it can be almost impossible to see that.
When you come down from opiates, you feel worse. So much worse. Worse than you can even imagine, right now, having never been through it. If your thoughts are bothering you NOW, for the love of god please don't pick up an opiate habit.
Let me tell you, opiate addiction is no joke. You say you want to do heroin "just once or twice." Well, I was going to make tea "every week or two." As soon as I got my first box of pods though, made tea, and got high on it, I was hooked. It took away depression, anxiety, fear, whatever, you name it. I felt like a million bucks, basking in euphoria, nodding in and out. I was addicted from the start. Compared to being doped up, there was no way I ever wanted to go back to living a clean lifestyle.
It caught up to me though, and it will catch up with you as well, if you choose to use opiates. They're sneaky like that. When you're on them, you're only having happy thoughts, and so you start to believe that you have your usage under control. Then, when you come down, you feel shittier than you felt to begin with, and since your brain is deprived of its' natural opioids, your brain (including your emotional/mental problems,) along with your body, are going to BEG you for more opiates. It becomes the "monkey on your back," so to speak, and you have to feed it or it will beat the shit out of you in ways you can't even imagine right now.
When I was in the midst of my opiate usage, I was never able to see the situation for what it was. It was only until after I quit that I was able to see how it had taken over my whole life. It took priority over uni, friends, my health, my job, EVERYTHING. But all of that was okay........... as long as I could get high again, and forget about all that.
Trust me when I tell you that you DO NOT want to start using opiates. If you do, and you feel that pleasure, it is EXTREMELY hard for you to forget what that feels like. I wish I had never experienced that opium tea goodness in the first place, because now I feel it is implanted in my mind forever. I can only hope that it will go away over time, but as for now, I still have cravings for it just about every day. Sometimes mild, but sometimes extremely strong.
To make things worse, I am still technically on opiates - Suboxone (Buprenorphine,) just to feel normal and to make it impossible for me to get high on "real" opiates. How it works is that it fills the opiate receptors in the brain, but without getting you high, and it binds so strongly to the receptors that if you try to use any other opiate, it will have little to no effect. I voluntarily got on the program, in order to get my life back in order. So now, instead of being on pod tea, I am on a prescribed opiate that doesn't even get me high. After two years of opiate addiction, I feel like I'm just now starting to come back around and live a "normal" life.
Your brain has natural feel-good chemicals. Whether you can sense them now or not, it does. And when you take opiates, your brain stops producing as many of those chemicals, and creates more opiate receptors in order to protect your body from overdose. This is why people develop a tolerance to opiates. It's the body's natural way of protecting yourself.
Right now, your body temperature is regulated. Wait until you have to quit opiates. You will experience the worst inner coldness, so much worse than you can even imagine, I promise. And there is NOTHING you can do to warm yourself except for taking more opiates. And while this is happening, you'll be having EXTREME anxiety, depression, and the most unimaginable, crazy thoughts of your life.
I could go on and on about this forever probably. I'm just trying to tell you, man, opiates are not the way to be "healed," or "cured," or a solution for sadness. They will only make things worse.
Please feel free to PM me about this, or if you just need somebody to talk with, or anything whatsoever, man. There are other ways to help your problems.
desant said: Ahhhhhhhh u know what, i know something - that something is - H does sedate your nnerves and brings you in touch with your inner psyche like no other drug - from that state on you can do healing on multiple levels. It works.
That's like putting a one-day band-aid on a gaping wound, and expecting it to heal up. There are other ways, trust me. Exercise. Get those natural indigenous chemicals going. Find a psychologist whom you can talk to about your trips and how you feel they've affected your life so badly. You may not like the first psychologist, and you might have to speak with a couple until you find somebody who you're compatible with. But I'm not even saying you need a psychologist. Talking to ANYONE about your problems can help a LOT. It might sound like a stupid cliche, but otherwise, your emotions really DO stay bottled up inside. It sounds like you want heroin as a release.
But opiates are the opposite. They are a trap. Just please take everything I've said into consideration, because I hate to see ANYBODY starting to get into opiates - especially if it is to cover up mental/emotional problems.
Again, please feel free to PM me about anything. If you feel you have nobody else to talk with, I will still be there with you, I promise. I don't even know you, but I can feel your pain and I just don't want it to get worse by you getting addicted to opiates.
Much love. Please take care of yourself. Nobody else can do it for you.
