Nursery Hunt Sydney
    #10702100 -

Inspired by Inski's work finding unique Psilocybe sp. growing at the nursery he works at in NZ, i went for a little hunt in a local nursery. I found a curious mushroom growing out from the bottom of a pot, that looks strikingly similar to a Psilocybe, although im certain it isnt. It bruised black on the stype and has a dark ring around the edge of the cap, resembling bruising on a Sub. The gills are off though, as they are a very rusty colour. Stype was hollow, spore print in progress. Also it smells just like a sub. Theres a few pics, some arent the best but they give you an idea of the colours of the gills and cap. Took the pics in a few different lights.

I scraped the cap along some white paper and this is what i got, so i guess the print is brown

Anyhoo, looking closely at some small shrubs i noticed a lone P.Subaeruginosa growing in some woodchip mulch in a pot at the base of a plant. Picked it and sure enough it bruised blue. The mushrooms are following me?!

noone?

The stype of the mushroom im trying to ID  completely turned black and shrivelled into something like a coprinus stype after i cut it off for printing.. The dark edges of the cap are a bit crispy like its dried out and turned black.

Confusing meh this mushroom is.
