Anyone ever have a HIV test before?

i got one a couple months ago, negative. dont sweat it hiv is very rare in the US.

Also, HIV can lie dormant in your body for up to 5 years and you will test negative and can still have it. hehe

The local Family Planning clinic/STD clinic does it for free usually.  They draw your blood and give you the results several weeks later.  Most states mandate by law that the results must be given in person.  So, you have to go back down to the clinic and you are lead into a room.  There's a person there with a clipboard that has your results.  It is kind of scary.  The second you hear "Negative" you breathe a sigh of relief.

Nowadays they have a cheek-swab test for HIV.

It's totally painless and it's free.

Look up local AIDS coalitions in your area.

Everyone needs to get tested every six months.

Even you folks in monogamous relationships.
