tryptamine content in different substrates

while reading up on adding tryptamine to you substrate to increase potency, I've read that it is actully found in BRF, cow dung and would expect that rye and I'm sure other substrates have tryptamine as well. My main question is, does anyone know the amount of tryptamine found in different substrates? How about other natural things that have high tryptamine leves that could be added? I know beer, cheese, milk and, wine all have tryptamine in them but they all seem pretty prone to contamination to me... i've read some posts about beer and none of them have worked..

It seems like tryptamine is naturaly produced when things ferment... would it be possible to increase the tryptamine level in PF jars by letting them sit for a day or 2 before sterilization or even pasturization? I let one of my jars sit for a week now with out being sterilized and I can't see anything growing in it, but it smells like wine so I'm sure there is.

Tryptamine is in many living plants. There are many ways of "doping" a mushroom crop to increase their potency. I believe that there were a few experiments done... do a search on google.com.

I know their have been a number of experimnets with doping mushrooms, I've read a number of them. They mostly consist of adding the chemical tryptamine to the substrate. My quiestions were how much tryptamine do the various substrates contain and what other natural sorces that have high tryptamine content. Also is tryptamine formed during the fermentation process? it seems to be in most fermented foods...

While this doesn't fully answer your question, canary grass seed is inordinately high in tryptamine content. While there are probably more potent formulations, canary grass seed should produce a much more potent shroom (grown under identical conditions) compared to most grain-based substrates.

i believe tryptamine is found, in varrying quantities, in most creatures with nervous systems, and in a great many plants. i doubt it is formed during fermentation.
it is unlikely that you will find a practical way of obtaining it, as an organic plant constituent, as aditive to your substrate, to potentiate your mushrooms and the powder sold by most onlne companies is chitty.
i'm not realy up on the logistics of doing this but since a thread like this comes up about once every two weeks and only lives for a few days i'd say it's probably not worthwhile.
bowling_name, i thought the studies indicated that the seeds of philaris sp. where rather low in tryptamine content (both raw tryptamine and dimethyltryptamine, as compared with the mature plant material). although, i did read some artical stating that the sprouts of P aquatica to posses rather high alkaloid levels by weight.
