I have some sour diesel seeds and I am wondering..............

is it worth trying to plant in my forest?  no one ever goes there so that is def a plus! I can find a place that has some light- but I am wondering is it worth trying? will animals eat weed that is growing?- what if I get a fence.

I have never tried growing before and figure it's worth asking. maybe I will go over to the growery for more advice- but I will say- if I can somehow grow budda without buying tons of shit- that would be a real lifesaver  :bigblunt:

If you haven't grown before you will fail miserably at just chucking a seed outdoors...do some research.

This is my first year attempting to grow, I just had some  seeds from some decent mid grade bud that I've been tending to outside and they are doing fine. They're 4-5 inches and have 6-8 leaves so far.

Honestly I don't even plan on them being good enough to smoke but I'm researching the growing process along the way: spotting male plants, when to harvest, drying, etc. Growing weed is more involved and a longer process then growing shrooms but I'm having fun~ :grin:

:grin:  did you read websites on growing? how'd you learn to do it?

sounds like an incredible hobby. I am afraid of animals eating it though and I gotta find somewhere with sunlight but if I walk ten minutes down the woods there are some open fields with greenery that no one goes to  :crazy2:

Find a place idealy with a minimum of 5 hours of direct sunlight a day.  Thats still not very much but since you mentioned its in a forest it will likely be shady so you have to work with what you have.  Pre scout the locations that you want to plant and dig holes and fill in with anywhere between 1-5 gallons of potting soil depending on your budget. When I was a noob and short on money I would buy 3 2 cubic ft bags of miracle grow potting soil and then by 3 bags of the cheaper potting soil and mix them all together with peat moss and fill the holes. That would do roughly 3 plants per bag of soil so like 35$ would do 18 plants.  Your plants will yield much better if you do that and plus you should water them as much as possible and look into good nutrients to.

about 2-3 weeks ago myself and two other buddies of mine we were planting in the forest not too far away from houses but still pretty well hidden. we must have been too loud.. out of no where an old man snuck up on us. we all took off and haven't been back since. :shrug:

So- I have to buy soil- can't just grow in the dirt.......................

Should I get a fence for the plant? Do animals tend to eat cannabis?  got any good websites

You dont have to buy soil but you will have much better results if you do.  If its a place where your sure no one is going to go then yea put up a fence.  As far as websites no I dont realy know any good ones just kind of search everywhere is what I did.  Growery sucks for grow info so dont even bother with going there.

I am about to start germinating- do I need any special kind of water or will regular do the trick?

I am jizzing in my pants- I'm happy that I'm actually doing this........

I have a great area- deep in my woods nice greenery and no one goes there

Heres the way I germinate and I usualy sprout every seed this way.  I use bottled water for germinating because tap water has chlorine and isnt nearly as good.  Take your seeds and take a piece of sand paper and lightly scratch the surface of the whole seed by gently rubbing it all around the sand paper.  This will make it more pourous and absorb water better and realy increase the amount of seeds that will sprout.  Next soak them for 24 hours overnight in a cup of bottled water.  You will be able to tell which seeds are going to germinate because they will have sunk to the bottom while the other non viable seeds will not absorb water and stay floating.  You can help them to sink by tapping them down every few hours or so if you want.  Then just germinate like you normaly would with paper towels.

I am going to go to wal-mart- can you tell me what would be essential to get for growing?  best soil to get? pesticides?  Nutrients?  Equipment?

I started mine in paper cups on the windowsill inside, once they got a few inches tall I planted them outside. I just put them in regular dirt, probably need to look into nutrients but I water them every day and they are looking great so far :stoned:

interesting :bigblunt:  maybe after they germinate I should grow them in a pot or a cup............. I figure that way may be easier so I can move them around........ I think I will invest a few dollars in some good soil though and buy something so I can fence the bud- I don't trust the animals around here---------- just hope I never came face to face with a beer cause I have to walk a decent amount through my woods to get to this area- but it should make for great time killer :thumbup:

I am leaving my house until sunday and the seeds haven't germinated so I just threw some seeds in natural soil in my woods where there were a lot of grass plants so it wouldn't look obvious and I assuming sun will hit there.

so basically I am hoping some of these seeds will grow fine naturally- and if not then I don't really care :shrug:  will be sweet if they actually grow though

I use peat pots, then you dont have to transplant the root ball and you can still move um around. Small and cheap.

Pee around your plots, if you want to, shit around your plots and smear it on trees. You can use hair clippings from a local barber shop too.

Or buy predator urine. Moth balls are supposed to work good too.

Use a copper or aluminum ring around the base of the stems, slugs wont cross them. And slugs WILL eat those babies. Lol.

www.forums.gasscity.com has a good outdoor growing section with lots of experiences members. Good articles explaining all sorts of shit.

Do people that own their own houses get away with growing a plant or two in their back yard with the rest of the landscaping? Or is it too noticeable by nosy neighbors peeking over the fence?

Depends on your neighbors.

If you got one or two hiding in some brush in your big backyard somewhere, and the neighbors dont bother you hardly then id doubt it. But if they're like RIGHT there and always in the backyard and smellin it and shit then i dunno. Just gotta worth with what you got. Its getting later in the season, if you wait long you can get little tiny plants that start budding, which are in turn easier to conceal.

I'm pretty sure I could get away with it. I mean, even if either one of my neighbors noticed, I doubt they would even care. I'm on good terms with both of them.

I did ones hear of a guy that grew severl plants along his privacy fence, and bent them over horizontally once they got tall and they grew along the ground like vines and to the untrained eye, they were not even noticeable.
