Grow weed and shrooms together????????

I was doing some thinking and I kind of came up with a senario that growing weed and shrooms together would help them both out. Here is what I am thinking buid like a grow box or just have a grow room and make the grow box two levels but the fruiting cakes or casings at the bottom level and cut some vent holes in the divider of the levels soo that the co2 can escape up to the top level where the weed plant can use the co2 and produce o2 which can also pass through the ventilation holes and the shrooms can use the o2 to further their growing. Has anyone tried this before? does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Your theory has merit. However, I'd say that it would take ALOT of experimentation to achive this combination is such a way that both organisms come out better than you could achive with either alone.

I had a similar idea but as the thought progressed many realisations were made.
Firstly the ambient temperature and humidity needed for mushroom growth is alot higher than what is needed for Herb.
The herb will battle with the conditions required to grow mushrooms.

i thought by having a few ventilation holes I could keep the humidity in the fruiting chamber around 80 - 85% which would be perfect for casings and could keep the temprature around like 75 - 80 degress. This might be a lost cause but I am gonna see what I can do and maybe try to find a way that these two can benefit eachothers grow because they sure do work well together after they are harvested. If all else fails I could use and air pump to transfer the co2 saturated air to the growing bud and see if that might do something. Alil experiment never hurt anyone soo I am trudging full speed ahead.  :smile:

i'd only mention that the co2 will naturally go down while the o2 would naturally go up which is the opposite of what you're saying. gosh, i'm picky.

The herb needs 30c temps and LOW humidity for flowering, if you could suspend the teranium above the plants it might help a bit, but you'd get more results from breating on your garden!!!!!!

Good idea but not practicle.
