Supposedly this clinic was in complete compliance.  Really, they would have to mount a hell of a case to even get a warrant.  This whole thing fucking stinks.

i wonder if Obama will make a statement on the matter.  i hope so.


and for everyone with failing faith in Obama, i just want to remind you that it would've been worse under McCain.  he most likely would have kept Hutchinson as the head, and the raids would've still been going on at full force at a much higher rate.

well, it was obvious Ron Paul would never win.  but in the extreme hypothetical situation that he did, there still absolutely no certainty that this wouldn't have happened.  as supernovasky said, there is the possibility that the dispensary was doing some side dealing.  and there's also the possibility that this is a completely unsanctioned act of insubordination on the part of the DEA, in which case it doesn't matter who the pres is.

I highly doubt they were distributing anything out of the clinic other than marijuana and products.  I don't even know what the incentive of that would be with the money they make.  Really, I'd see it as tax evasion (which is an irs issue), they set up a sting with having a non-patient by cannabis, or sold to somebody out of state, whatever.

Even so, it seems pretty aggressive for them to jump the gun and raid a clinic without public disclosure after Obama gave the message to leave them alone less than a month ago.

I agree with Prisoner, these are going to continue until the law is changed, which obama is against. He's just against enforcing the law. That's like smoking but not inhaling. It's just pandering. Until the states take some kind of stand, this is going to continue.
