I second the 5 shrooms. zippoz, this thread was a great idea. I seriously doubt any agents will reply in this thread, but i'm sure they'll read it. Hopefully they have enough compassion and humanity left in them to really think about what they are doing, and all the lives they've destroyed. We need a change and we need it NOW. There is way too much violence that needs to be dealt with now, and as was said earlier, we are peaceful people. This world needs more hippies, not less. What we do with our bodies and minds is our business, not yours. I know you're doing your job, but that doesn't make it right. What you are doing is pure evil, and you will have to face the karmic repercussions someday. Many of you are probably Christian. Christ would never, NEVER ever do even half of things you do to your fellow man. That's right, YOUR fellow man. We are your brothers and sisters, and you are our brothers and sisters. Everyone needs to work together to make this world work, and a lot of work needs to be done. Is this really the world you want your children and grandchildren growing up in? Why don't you try to understand us, accept us and work with us. It's really not that hard, everyone just needs to open their minds and accept that everyone is different, everyone has different beliefs, and in the end that's what makes life beautiful. Peace and good vibes to all. Let's keep this thread rolling.

It isn't the DEA that is the problem.. They are hired by the people at the top. The laws are created by polititians that have no idea what is good for the people of a country. They are the only ones that can change it. And the only way that it will change is when they quit catering to the bleeeding hearts and goody goodies of the country!!!! This applies here in Canada as well.
The only reason most of the drug laws are created is they don't understand drugs. Or don't want to. Or can't control it to make enough money off it. So they create a make work project to try to prevent it. This is where the DEA comes in.
The people that work for the DEA probably agree with most of us, but can't do anything because "it is my job". Same with the cops. Most smoke drugs anyway, but they have to do what they are hired for.

No, they don't have to. Anyone can stand up and say "no this is wrong, I will not not do it." Sure, there are consequences for such actions, but you have to sacrifice to stand up for what you believe in. Oh, and the dea doesn't agree with us, if they did they would be in another line of work.

Not when you have to give up a $70,000 - $80,000 job you won't. Anyone say "Quota"?
Sure, there are the ones who "Love their job", but most do it becaus it is their job.
If the laws change, they will be out of a job. And who can change this? The politicians.

So then they are hypocrites. Either they love their job and "believe" in what they do...or they don't but remain in their jobs putting people behind bars for crimes they DON'T believe in, and thus are hypocrites.

I doubt you get to become a DEA officer unless you know what you're getting into...and I doubt anyone who things drugs are AOK would become a DEA officer.

it is time to start thinking of drug use as a health problem, not a crime problem.

when i eat mushrooms and make love to my boyfriend, I am harming no one. And drug money doesnt go to terrorists... I dont know about the rest of you guys but the guy I get my weed from is a Birkenstock wearing, Grateful dead listening hippie.

after humans satisfy the basic needs of hunger and thirst, they seek sex. after that, intoxication. people drink coffee and alcohol everyday in the privacy of their own homes. why cant people smoke a bowl if they harm no one?

Wel, I know a few cops that smoke weed and still arrest people for the same crime. Hmmmmm. I wonder if this is a hypocrite.
Really, this is not the point I am trying to portray. It is the politicians, and only the politicians that can change the DEA raiding the houses etc.....

I just don't understand how people talk about how pot would cause people to work less, or work intoxicated.

Pot would be treated JUST like Alcohol. Don't drive, don't smoke in public. Don't go to work high (you'll get fired). If you hurt someone on the job while intoxicated, it's your fault just like if you're drunk. Nothing will change except a whole lot of money will come into the economy, and I won't spend as much god damn money on pot. And the money I will spend will go toward a.) better pot b.) federal tax for whatever they want to waste it on and c.) not guns for gangs or violence.

That's the way it is.

I can't find anything wrong with drugs. I mean if they are harmful I can understand why people shouldn't be doing them but they are still going to. If it isn't a health issue then what is it? Is there too many christians who are all saying boo to drugs? Do them I would say god created you and gave you free will. How then can you take that free will away from others? If you don't like it, then don't do it, but don't stop other people from having fun as long as they arn't hurting anyone.

There is no reason at all that drugs should be illegal. Things need changing.

How many lives could be saved if the DEA folks became the homeland defense folks? At least then the brave men and women of the DEA would be risking their lives for something worthwhile rather than fighting an out-of-control political battle against their own people.

The problem with our Drug Policies is they were created by a bunch of un-informed people who drive mercedes benz and have never lived in a middle-class life like most of us.

Some of them have probably smoked pot before, and are scared that it's killing their brain cells so they quit smoking and took up drinking scotch on the rocks in their fancy parties where they kiss the ass of their boss, etc. (I.E. Government Yes-Men, Senators, Congressmen).

The country needs run by the people, not for the people. That's where the entire problem began. Back when our country was first founded we didn't have the technology to allow the public to make collective decisions, but now, in the age of computers, we do. Perhaps after a revolution (someday perhaps) this is the way our beautiful country will go.

I don't hate the DEA agent that kicks down a door to arrest a pot dealer, but I do hate the ones who shoot someone in the back of the head in the wrong house because the guy had an unloaded rifle and was trying to protect his 9 year old daughter and wife, or threw a flash grenade through a window and burned someone's house down and then shot them as they tried to flee the fire, weaponless.

Our rights to collect and protest are rapidly being taken away from us. No longer can we stand in front of the White House and protest things we don't agree with, without running the chance of being stun gunned and tear gassed (during peaceful demonstrations even). Our rights as American citizens are declining, other countries are going in the other direction, the direction of freedom where we started off going. But of course you care about us as citizens.

The drug war is a lost cause. As was said in the first post of this thread, you can not win. You are only tearing our Country apart from the inside. Because of law enforcement cracking so hard down on "criminals" who sell herb, a lot of people now carry guns and that endangers you (DEA/Police), me, that lady on the street, the dealer, and any other person in the area. I know you can't stop it, but you can start the process. I'm not saying to quit your job, you do so much for our country outside of killing us.

Just know, that I won't ever give up the fight on my side. I'm doubtful you will either, and it's a shame we all have to hate each other because maybe in some other country we would have sat down and smoked a spliff together or talked over a glass of crown royal... it's a shame what is caused by your petty prohibition. Who is the government to pass judgement on anyone?

There is one other problem, when someone declares war on another there is an ensuing battle with lives taken. if you really want a war, allow every pot smoking cancer patient whos house you raid to have the same gear that you have; m-16's, flash banmg grenades, tear gas, bullet proof vest atleast then it could be a fair fight.and remember that these criminals are often people that have terminal cancer, or aids, people who are at deaths door step just waiting to go through it just looking for a little relief. LET THEM BE.
