Any ever fruited PF strain on rye grain?

Hello, I was thinking, a friend of mine has cased many different strains but she read the other day that the PF strain grown on rye grain, then cased, doesn't fruit that well....
Has anyone ever successfully colonized rye grain with the PF strain and then grew them out?
I don't see why it would be difficult, but I told my friend I get some opinions.
I'm wondering if what my friend read was true
Thanks, Lana

To my knowledge it is adapt to cakes and prefers them. I think~not sure but it suposedly does real porely when cased. Lots of aborts and a few fat arses a plenty Never seen this strain in person though

I'm generally not thrilled with the PF strain altogether. Weird shaped, unpretty fruits that often dry down to nothing, lots of aborts. With EQ's, GT's, PR's and the Thais, who needs 'em?

Thanks everyone for your replies...
I'm wondering if the strain was isolated more or domesticated more or if... eh, well maybe my friend will just play with it and see.
Thanks for the info

Good idea. I have only worked with the PF Classic strain on cakes, but I bet it would perform similarly in a cased tray.

my friend worked with PF rye casings for a while. He just always got lots of abhorts and very few mature fruits. The ones that were mature were pretty big though. He never did isolate it so maybe that would help.
