Improvised Chronic Tek. Would it work? (Pics included, opinions welcomed.)

Evening mates. After two very fast weeks, I have a nice amount of jars almost fully colonized (Give or take a day or two left.)
Now, since creating a fruiting chamber from a rubber maid box is not possible, I figured the Chronic Tek is the best route to take. However, money is tight here, but luckily I have come across these plastic containers that I use to store chopped up onions and peppers in. I have 12 containers still un opened. The container is just as tall as a quart jar. My question to you guys is how would I go about correctly implementing the Chronic Tek with this improvised piece of equipment?
Heres a pic of a container before I proceed:
There was two options I thought were viable: 1. Stick with Chronic Tek in the sense that I nail out for holes in the bottom of the plastic lid to provide proper gas exchange. 2. Drill out small holes around the container near the lid. Similar to the holes drilled when making a rubbermaid box fruiting chamber.
Now obviously keeping the humidity on par is my greatest concern, so I fear that drilling small holes may not provide the proper environment to keep humidity high. What do you guys suggest?
Also, to serve as a final question, should my cakes be dunked before birthing, or after? I wouldnt want to risk contamination by dunking, but I also dont want to run out of water to create humidity. I will be dunking after the first flush, however.

I've never heard of the "chronic tek" here at the shroomery, but try something like this. All you need is some perlite

Good luck

That link has provided me with some great ideas =D
The Chronic Tek is essentially what the OP in that link did.
Heres a link to the tek to clarify any confusion: Chronic Tek

Its outdated and frankly pretty inefficient. Just make a shotgun or turn any plastic container/bucket into a fruiting chamber. Costs 0$ if you have tubs or buckets lying around and you really don't even need a drill. A hot knife would do the trick to cut holes if you had the patience.

i've put 1/4 pint cakes in quart sized jars with a little verm in the bottm. I dont know why someone would want to build a fency shelf and pvc risers and all that un necessary shit
you could just crumble the cake into the cup, like where the onions are make it that deep. Then sprinkle a verm layer on top of the crumbled cake and poke holes in the cup lid thats all you have to do.

I think this is what Im going to do. You think the humidity level will stay at the range I need by doing this? I wouldnt want to ruin a good cake.
