Loph seedling growth question

I have a couple of loph seedlings that are about 2 months old now, and I'm curious as to when their growth is going to slow. As seedlings, they have been growing quite rapidly, and are beginning to take on that round, loph shape.
I'm wondering when this fast growth is going to slow, so that I may cut back on the watering and begin treating them like grown cacti.

you should be keeping them moist for a few months yet mate.
i don't usually let mine dry out between waterings until they are like a year old.

they are jiffy peat pellets.
not really recommended for cacti, more suited to cloning MJ :wink:

Yep. The pellets come compressed in little disks. You just soak them in water and they swell into a handy little peat "pot".

I looked at that pic before reading the posts. I though it was some sort of odd Epithelantha at first :lol:. Odd choice for cacti, but neat none-the-less.
