Fan Drying?

Can anyone tell me what the advantages of drying using a dissicant, rather than just letting them fan dry?

Well using dessicant is the last step in fan drying, from what i gather. If you only fan dry them it could take a while longer to get them cracker dry vs. using a fan then some dessicant.

Dessicant is quicker, especially if you live in a humid place. Luckily for me, I can just leave shrooms on a paper towel and they're dry in a day.
