fan drying works wonders

i tried fan drying for the first time tonight... WOW
in 8 hours my shrooms were well on their way to being dried, and they werent all shriveled and black and smelly like they are when i lamp-dry...


if only i had known months ago..

I too have founf fan-drying most excellent, especially when used with dessicant to suck the last bits of moisture out of the mushroom. My only quibble w/ my fan drying (and my particular setup) is that we keep everything in our bedroom and it's kind of annoying trying to get to sleep w/ the fan goin' all night!

yeah... when i used dessicant and dried salt, the shrooms were black and looked like shit. now i fan them for a day and are super special !!!! i use a computer fan on the top of my terrarium... cool...

I've been fan drying in my bedroom too. I sit them behind the fan, where the air is sucked in, on a cooling rack. It takes around 24 hours to get them fairly dry. I'll try dessicant if I want to store them longer than a couple weeks.

My buddy built a box with a small 6" fan built in the side and cut vent holes. They're dry within 32 hrs. He used the box his computer came in.
