Ive had a spore print in my cupboard for a couple of months or less and havent got around to making needles from it, how long will they last?

A print will last for several years if dried and stored properly.

I've had excellent results from prints well over 10 years old. As long as they are kept dry... they will be fine

i usually store mine in a baggie with a little envelope of silica gel (do not eat).

Hi, i'm sorry for the bump. I found this thread through google.
I'm about to go through some life changes. I'll be able to cult indoors for the first time ever which is something i'm really looking forward to.
I have some Cube prints stored. I've had them for about five years on tinfoil stored in a draw. I live in a temperate environment. (Cubes don't grow here.) Will these still be good?
Next question is how do i buy gear like agar?
Living in Australia btw

hey Magenta, if any that is serious, and leaving country for another, i'd get new prints at destination if not restricted like Aus. but say you stored them well, as in superdry and air tight then 10yrs something viable comes of the print sounds realistic.
we could send you some fresh prints soon we get some done up right. got a couple cube types growing now~

Hey mate, cheers for the quick reply. I know i joke around on the community forums but i don't joke here. YEAH I'M SERIOUS! 
I think you may have misunderstood some details however. I have some P.Cubensis spore prints on foil. They have been stored in a wooden draw for about five years not air tight.
Should i diss these and find some new prints? Also Agar? I have no idea where to buy that stuff to get prints moving.

If oz is anything like nz, best and cheapest place for agar is Asian grocery stores. Main supermarkets don't stock it.

This is anecdotal but I've had spore prints last 4 years and be extremely viable before. (Cambodian and Ecuador strains.)
