Amazing bud!
I´ve got one with a long meristem hopefully it will crest (ya know when a pup emerges from the apical meristem? It looks like its exploding).

BTW Crest grafts are harder IME.

i knew you would come and say something that would make me reconsider :crankey:

but on a serious note you are the man who's input i want on this :yesnod:

i really would like to get them divided into a few more plants and regrafted to a nice big permanent stocks before i let them grow out to their full potential.
and they are in fantastic condition for the first time since i owned them so i'd like to get it done in the spring while their condition is still good :yesnod:

what i would really like to do with specimen A & B is to get each individual cristate meristem regrafted on a single stock.
and providing that i didn't lose any during grafting that would give me 8 plants.

dr, i see those pereskiopsis have no leaves left.  does the scions growth slow down a shitload if the leaves fall off?

pereskiopsis grafts still grow fast after the stock has lost all its leaves.
obviously when the stock has leaves and can photosynthesize for the scion then growth is faster.
after the scion reaches a certain size it can do a good job of photosynthesizing for itself, so the stock at that stage is only good for its root system.
that graft is about 2 years old from a seedling and the stock had leaves for about half of that time.

i don't know how long the stocks will last though so i'll regraft all of the heads in the spring in case the stock decides to give up :yesnod:

ya i would likely cut the same as you, except for B i would leave at least one on that stock.  if you want a nice perma stock, consider a nice 30cm tall, fat stenocereus....now that will get you some monsters!  and will get you a nice snake, hopefully, in time.

well i've got some nice big thick trich stocks for the biggest scions.
myrtillo, spachianus and pachanoi for the smaller scions :yesnod:
