A characer in a story that I am reading found information stating that azures grow from cali eastt to vermont on ... is it true that there are azures indigenous to the east coast? the mid atlantic begins at the 35th parallel, and the right below the 35th paralell runs through the middle of cali .... since my character's information said that azures grow cali east to vermont, is it safe to assume that these grow in the mid atlantic? Also, any luck finding psilocybe caerulipes in the mid atlantic? Lookin today and tomorrow.
Thanks

Tell that character that Psilocybe azurescens are found wild along the Oregon coast. Azurescens are strangely listed as a Shroom found also in other states such as Verdmont because they have been successfully cultivated outdoors. It is rather silly to include Azurescens on that listing of known wild shrooms, but maybe there is a better reason that i have yet to figure on. And also tell that character that Psilocybe caerulipes are not a very common Shroom-find at all..
Keep shroomin, GG

this evening i am attending a meeting of the New York Mycological Society (btw, it was founded by John Cage, the modern composer, who worshiped his sacred mushrooms same as we do ). the lecturer is Gary Lincoff, author of the "Audobon Field Guide". he might know something about p. cerulipes here in the north east.
guys, this is not fair: PCN (and AUSTRIA ) have azures; SE has weilii; what about the NE????? well, if there are any cerulipes (i like the idea of the "azures of the NE) WE WILL FIND THEM. PERIOD.

No. Azures do not grow anywhere in the US other than the the pacific north west, specificly along the coasts. Finding them in Vermont is just asinine. People can start outdoor Azure beds pretty much where ever they want, but they don't grow anywhere other than the PNW naturaly.
As far as finding Psilocybe Caerulipes goes, I've never heard of anyone finding them.
