police intimidation
    #9677642 -

it seems that todays police forces are so into intimidation, rather than protecting and serving. all of the modern police cruisers are set up with lights that would send someone into an epileptic fit, instead of just getting a persons attention to make them pull over.

i was driving home last night and a cop got behind me. he started riding my ass, kind of moving side to side, trying to provoke me to make a mistake. in the last year or so, this seems to happen every time any cop gets behind me, or anyone else, for that matter. i see it all the time.

even on the cops tv show, all you see is cops acting like a swat team. throwing people to the ground, putting their knees on peoples necks, hog tying them, and basically treating people like animals. i know sometimes people deserve it. and sometimes thats the only way to subdue violent criminals, but when its some elderly man or woman using a cane or a walker, it just infuriates me.

we shouldn't stand for this. when its broadcast on tv every day, people (the general population) should wake up and take notice. this isn't what our tax dollars are supposed to be paying for. the police don't reserve this kind of treatment for crack neighborhoods. it happens everywhere, to everyone.

the police have and abuse way too much power. i don't know what (if anything) can be done about it, but i just can't stand it. its bullshit.

end of rant.

It sucks. Especially at the end of the month.
The only thing I could think of is going to town hall and issuing a complaint or something

yeah. but that would only work for specific cops in specific situations. i know its a pipe dream, but i'd like to see something done nationwide.

Issue a concern on change.gov for police intimidation tactics.  "they're here for protection not oppression" and what not.

I have made other posts about this, and even on cops they act like slime.

Internal affairs is a joke, its just pigs exonerating pigs, whitewashing cases, intimidating you out of making a complaint, or even if you do, you get a sloppy investigation, bias towards you for making complaint.

they just exist to limit liability and make it so you cant do anything but hire a lawyer.

Police are held to no standard, the Internal Affairs sargeant has been both abusive to me and my father. I should have a sound file on policeabuse.org

Jesus, that makes me sick!

I'm surprised they did that shit considering he is going to be out of jail in a few days since it was only a traffic violation.

If that was me and the cops did that, they'd better flee the country before I get let out if they value their life, as I would track them down and give them what they had coming, regardless of what it took...and I'm not even a violent guy, but I'd have to make an exception for some shit like that.

It happens and has happened so often while a lot of people are becoming more and more desensitized to violence with a lack of compassion and empathy which has caused everyone to get used to it and turn a blind eye because they don't give a fuck or feel.

thats the problem entirely. ther are above the law to such a degree that they think they are untouchable. something needs to be done. more people should file complaints against them. the more complaints, the more attention they will get from the higher-ups. maybe bombarding change.gov with questions about this kind of subject isn't a bad idea.

Lights don't just pull people over, they get people the fuck out of the way. Nothing worse than hearing sirens and not knowing where they're coming from when you're about to enter an intersection.

I swear I must have been pulled over at least three times for simply blasting Fuck Da Police around town, although the ticket was always for something fucked up like a small crack in my windshield.

yeah, cops are fucking dicks.  I just can't understand why anyone supports that bullshit unless they are blinded by prejudice (i.e. cops are good)

The "they have a hard job" thing is total bullshit too.  They get paid and can quite anytime they like.  There's a difference between doing what your paid for and being an arrogant ass that has no decency.

From the time when I got arrested at 16 for asking the cop who was questioning me if I was under arrest and then walking away to now I've seen a lot of bullshit.

All I can figure is that cops don't treat older folks that look like they've got money the same way or everyone is too idiotic to vote down police levies and vote out "tough on crime" politicians that give the cops money and power.

I mean just recently they are talking about appending a HUGE grant program to arrest drug users and give the police more toys to do so to more bailout bills.  WTF?  I'm sick of arrogant ass cops that care more about their own sense of ego then the law or the job.  The cops that are emotionally unstable and cannot simply communicate like normal people need to GTFO.

You never see cops saying "your under arrest sit down" rather than tazering or kicking/hitting someone who has NOT been told he's under arrest and thus has no reason to not leave.  Just sick of the bullshit and the constant perjury.

Stop voting for tough on crime politicians and talk to your legislature and executives about bullshit with the police.  Lets get some reasonable cops that aren't ego maniacs and can do their job according to the law rather than their macho need to dominate everyone like a guy beeting a helpless kitten.  Law>Police Arrogance
