I'm looking for critique on this that I have written. I only ask you forgive my gross generalisations regarding quantum physics and on that point perhaps offer a better description and otherwise focus on the rest. Thanks.
What quantum physics has taught is that reality , when you break it down to the nuts and bolts of it, is probability. In Copenhagen, this is expressed by each moment interacting with other possible futures to determine the most probable future and goes with it. In loopback the mechanics are a little different but it's essentially the same. it all boils down to probability.
So, scientists have determined that the probability for the development of life, anywhere, into the tiers of complexity that is humanity is so improbable it would take billions of years to develop naturally. Fair enough. The universe, without consciousness to recognise it, is meaningless. Therefore our perception of time is just that, Perception. A finite scale of perceiving that which occurs over a google infinities. Because the universe is infinite. If not from our vantage point then from the vantage point that it would take us to reach the 'edge' of the universe the same amount of 'time' it would take the universe to expand/rotate. In other words, if there is a hypothetical 'end' to the universe, we'll never see it. Even if the universe collapses in on itself (Omega>1) it will just explode all over again infinitely. If it expands outwards (Omega<1) then it will stretch the fabric of space/time so tightly it will rend the fabric into an explosive breech that amounts to the same damn thing. Of course the speed of light is probably a variable and thus Omega~1, probably. If not, then eventually.
In other words, the universe repeats itself but not exactly. Over and over again but different each time. If you've ever tripped (like I need that 'if' here...lol) you know exactly what I'm talking about.
Eventually a universe arises that has consciousness. This is the only universe that matters because all the other pass by unnoticed. Eventually a universe arises wherein one of these conscious cultures gets up off there doomed planetary existence and propagates themselves through the galaxy and ultimately, universe.
Now for the recognition of Astronomical scientific observation.
1) Natural development of planetary formation into life growing/sustaining environments is highly improbable, but, obviously, not impossible.
2) Assuming such, then development of life into advanced stages of evolution is equally improbable but, obviously, not impossible.
It would naturally follow that:
3) Advancement of such a culture into advanced stages of technological progress into intergalactic space travel is almost as improbable. Probably slightly more probable though.
And then to:
4)%99 QED mastery, Genetic mastery and possibly even limited control over the development galactic solar system formation.
Lets ponder on this a bit here. Given that it is more highly improbable than all the above occuring that one were to find planets identical to the original developing planet then it makes sense than you, as a civilisation are effectively trying to sustain conscious existence via your ascestory. Much as any parent and Nietzsche alike will tell your there is a sort of immortality to be had in being a parent.
So, once this has been achieved it makes sense that it's scale would necessarily increase as the intergalactic civilisation advances. From galactic, to universal. Once universal boundaries were crossed solar formation isn't that difficult to effect upon a virgin galaxy. It just needs a seed of life. A good conscious fucking if you will via technology from the most highly advanced civilisation.
Once this is achieved then life becomes extremely probably. In fact, once consciousness is established in the universe, it spreads like wildfire and is inevitable. in fact, it is inevitable even if extremely improbable, that this occurs. It just take quite a good ways into infinity for it to happen. Which is really like nothing because no one is there to watch the pot boil now are they?
So, we could exist as a highly improbable development in some random corner of the universe...
In all probability it's much more likely that we are progeny of some intergalactic, ancient, and highly advanced civilisation.
If not, then we better be working our asses off not to be forgotten by the universe at large, you think? Oh well, if not it'll happen someday.
And that is the psychedelic revelation from whence came my Sig but what do I know. I'm just someone on a trip through the universe.
-------------------- This is a test. Just keep on going. Don't worry. We'll get it right. We've done this before.
