tachycardia
    #9485847 -

Son of a bitch, I saw a couple peeps outside of my condo shoveling snow, so I offered to help, because apparently they have to help someone in a wheel chair to the car in the morning.  Well, I helped shovel, and pour a 80 pound bag of salt on the ground and I think I've sent myself into another bout of tachycardia.

Son of a bitch, I spent 16 hours in bed on Saturday because of this and I think I might have to miss work if it doesn't go away.  Fuck being nice to anyone, I'm already getting light headed, like I might pass out.  My heart just needs to chill the fuck out, fucking piece of shit.

ouch man, i imagine that's pretty scary. do you think your tachycardia is a byproduct of past drug use?

no, I used to have WPW, but had an ablation done to correct it.  However, the extra tissue is close to my AV node, so, as careful as they were to not put me on a pacemaker, they also didn't destroy the unwanted tissue.  So, I still have SVT, which seems worse, because I used to be able to stop the symptoms, but now I have to go to the hospital, or wait it out (12+ hours,) during which I am unable to even stand up without feeling like I might pass out.

Nothing to do with drugs, although, certain drugs seem to set it off.  In particular, heavy drinking/smoking.  That's normally what happens now, but sometimes it's just exerting myself like tonight that does it.

Hey! First person I've met who's had Wolf Parkinson!

I had an ablation too about 5 years ago, I still get that 'trying' to spaz feeling. Sometime I notice my heart will miss a beat.

I was actually going to see my specialist again about this. Any one who's had heart troubles will know how you can 'feel' your heart. I still notice it allot, which makes me think their might still be something wrong.

How did they do your OP? I got the holes in the groin, woke up with one of those tubes still ticking out...apparently they loaded me with morphine (Which I now know I'm not tolerant of) and I was screaming at the doctors, they had to bring my GF into the operating theater to calm me down so they could pull the tube out.

OMG you don't even know.  Because my growth was so close to my AV node, thus the reason it hasn't been fixt yet, I asked for painkillers over and over again.  Same with me, through the groin, then, about half way through I felt it, I felt it all and asked for more, but they told me they couldn't give me more because they were almost done, then twenty minutes later, they boosted me again because they realized I had another couple of hours to go :mad2:

When they finally moved me to my bed, they hadn't removed any of the wirez...when the nurses finally came to take them out, no more pain killerz left, just me and my mom and tears.  I would have cursed the fuck out of those mother fuckers, but it's strange how we hold back when our moms are around.

As for the operating theater, I felt a lot, but as long as the pain killers were there, I kind of enjoyed it.  And they let me listen to Coldplay the entire time, so I was kinda trippy.

Only thing is, it didn't work, I don't have Medical anymore, and they've been harassing me about going in again.  No thanks mother fuckers, they gave me a 1 in 5 chance of being on a pace maker last time, that means the probability is only worse.

Oh so yours isn't fixed at all? I used to get crazy spasms, like my heard would be erratic and beating hard like I'd run a marathon. Sometimes they'd go within 20 mins, sometimes hours. After an hour I started blacking out.

How sore was your groin after? I was black and blue for months!

My OP was horrible, one of the worst experiences of my life. I was put out for the main part, but I vaguely remember waking up in the theater, and them saying something about my blood being too thin so they still had the tubes inside me. I remember them giving me morphine and it just fucking my head and stomach up but doing nothing for the pain. I kept telling them but they just gave more morp until I started vomiting...at this point things get really vague as I kept blacking out. But apparently I ripped out my IV and started screaming, they strapped me down and brought my gf in cos I wanted to see her. She said that I was telling her I was going to die.
By now they had realized my situation with opiates and I'm not sure what they gave me but I woke about 10 hours later.
