Popcorn at movie theaters.... * 2

When go to the movies, I  NEVER buy concessions because they are so ridiculously expensive and extremely unhealthy. If by some total lapse of judgement I actually decide to spend 10$ on a small popcorn, I will drown it in butter just so I have the feeling that I dinged them.

On the flip side, I know people who absolutely cannot go the movies without getting snacks. For them, it 50% of the experience. I get it. If I had the cash, maybe I'd do it too.

So what do you do?
Do you buy snacks at the movie?

Concessions?  I can't even afford to go to the movies... How much are tickets these days?  $10 for a popcorn?  Fuck, a ticket must be $15-20...

I go to McDonalds and buy ten 99 cent cheeseburgers, and five large fries. I dump them into my fiances purse and buy absolutely nothing but a drink at the theater. You may think I am kidding. I am not.

Every time i got to the movies, i take a quick stop at the dollar store to fill my cargo pockets with candy.

Theatre candy is stupid expensive. $5 for a small popcorn is retarded too.

I love cargo pants, perfect for smuggling candy in :yesnod:

My wife has a thing for movie theater popcorn, we always buy it. Otherwise I carry other stuff in with me, deep pockets and woman's purse hide anything you would need/want in a theater. When we went to the desolation of Smaug we rented a theater box and we brought beer, wine, and vodka, Ordered pizza and just rocked it. I think that's the only way I am experiencing a movie theater ever again.

I normally go to a high end steak house and fill my pockets with steak, baked potatoes, salad, brochettes, lobsters etc.

It's part of the experience for me. I usually grab some popcorn. Movies are so ridiculously expensive anyway, going without popcorn is kinda like going to a high end steak house and getting chicken to save some cash.

Movies these days are all remakes trying to appeal to foreign markets not very many original titles being made at least mainstream films. I like watching older films or independent titles.

^this I always load up on cheap snacks and soda and have to wife stuff her purse. I'm not paying fucking 20 bucks for a soda and a small popcorn.
