I didn't realize people applauded at movie theaters.

I was watching Insidious 2 at the theater. Many of the other people in attendance were strongly affected by it. I heard exclamations such as, but not limited to:
"DAYUM, right in the ass!"
"OH!"
"That guy is the smart one, he tryin' ta leave."
I also heard laughter, and gasping during the suspenseful parts. Oh, and applause during the parts where the good guys get a one-up on the bad guys. That was weird. It took me a second to realize that people were applauding and saying things like, "yes."
I mean, everybody knows the good guys are going to win in the end.

Meh, normal
What's not normal, is that some fucking idiots think it's either funny or ok to applaude after a plane(that they're in) has landed. Fuck that shit

I've seen people applaud at the end of the movie, meh. I'm not in to that. Talking during the flick? Man, I want to punch people in the face when they talk around me in a theater man woman or child. Once you form a vocabulary that I can hear you have crossed the line
When I saw "The Mist" in theaters, this lady next to me was crying at the end. I think it might've been the first movie she's seen where everything got fucked in the end for the good guys, she looked pretty beat up Some people get really emotionally involved I'm not really that way like I wouldn't clap at the end of a movie to show everyone I liked it, I'd just go tell all my friends to go see it and talk about it a lot.

The funniest time I've ever been to the movie theater was years ago to see "Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins" me and my 2 other friends were pretty much the only people there that weren't black. It is super funny being in a movie theater with only black people around. I've never seen so much commotion in a movie theater before in my life .

I 100% agree, I was in an all black theater seeing Paranormal Activity 2 black girls would get SO terrified and scream at the top of their lungs and all the black guys would yell at the screen and crack jokes the entire time.
I love being the only person to laugh at something in a theater!
One time me and my friend got really baked and went to see Ted in theaters, and when Ted gets ripped in half and dies me and my friend were laughing uncontrollably for a solid 5 minutes while the entire audience was completely silent and saddened by what had just happened.
there also happened to be two cops in there that night because it was so crowded I guess and they were staring at us the whole time after that point, I thought we might get kicked out haha.

Living in a hispanic area is worse.
Try enjoying a movie when the latino people feel to the need to clap loudly twice every time something funny or crazy happens.
"HAHA" -clap- -clap-
"AHAHAHA" -clap- -clap-
"OMG DIOS MIO" -clap- -clap-

Have you never been to a movie theater before?
This kind of stuff is really common. I remember when Star Wars Episode 2 came out at the end where yoda confronts whatever his name was, a bunch of people started shouting "YODA! YODA! YODA! YODA!" That audience reaction was the only memorable part of the entire movie.
Laughing is common if it's a comedy. I mean, do you expect people to sit in total silence in a comedy? That would be way weirder than people laughing.

That makes sense, I went to a movie when I was in florida and there were these black chicks sitting near me and they were talking and fucking with their phone the whole time. I've never wanted to punch someone so badly in my life those inconsiderate, classless cunts.

Man, I get to get to the movies. The last movie I went to see was Spiderman with some grand kids who are now ready to start college. Man, where did the time go?
