The term "New Age"
    #9413912 -

What does this term mean to you?  When I see something labeled as "new age", I'm not so sure what to think anymore.

It's just a term that people who havent moved out of the past used to describe things they dont understand yet. It's fodder for for anti-evolutionists.

Definitely conjures up negative connotations.  My outlook on life could probably be considered new age, but I would never call it as such.  To me, it's the equivalent of calling a christian a "fundamentalist".

the term new age is bs. we're living in a new age, why not change our thinking?

It's kind of how I feel about "organic" food nowadays. It's being marketed so much that I don't quite know for sure what to think anymore, whether to trust it or not.

Yet organic food, aside from its market terminology, is simply that which is produced from the Earth with no man-made additives. That's the real deal.

New Age, one could say, divorced from its marketerm, is simply a group of alternative models for empowering individuality. At least that's what I would say. :sun:
