I was in the boy scouts, so was every other kid my age i knew. I killed things with my bb gun.

I got my Eagle Scout when I was 17.

I got vigil in order of the arrow just 2 months later.

I was introduced to pot when i was 14 at summer camp.

I became addicted to meth when i was 19 for 2 years, and fucked my life up for a short time.

Now I have graduated college, have a family, and have a good job.

Oh, and I don't believe in god either.

Now I am a BSA registered lifeguard again, have my CPR certification again, and am involved with my sons troop.

life is a crazy thing.

My dad didnt "whoop" my ass. When I was about 12 he gave me a pair of gloves, and started taking me out into the back yard, and boxed me (london prize rules) whenever I was in trouble. Then he wondered why I was always getting in fights. :smirk:

I was a cub scout back in the day. Everybody in that crowd ended up doing drugs later in life. My friend who was the troop leaders son went to prison a couple of years ago for distribution.

Well shit, I thought I was the only eagle scout on here. I was in it for the nature and wilderness survival aspect of it, never bought into the patriotic/ religious bull shit.  I guess the BSA does turn out a lot of stoner eagles.:gethigh:

I really enjoyed my experiences in boy scouts.  Learned a lot, saw a lot of places, and had an all around good time with it.  One of the things I am happy I experienced in my life, and would never take it back.

I was a cub scout, a webelos (or however the fuck that's spelled), and a boy scout. Except I didn't even make tenderfoot in boy scouts - it all seemed like such a pain in the ass.

I was in scouts. The people who ran are summer camp grew weed a little ways of the paths. It was good times. I was in OA but I didn't make it to eagle. I got kicked out of my troop for smoking weed with one of the other kids sister on visitor day at summer camp.

This whole thing started about 2 years ago. I was in clearwater fl at a friends house for a little bonfire party in the swamp with a bunch of trippers, and hippies from around the state. Everyone was just starting to show up, and they were trying to build a fire, so I jokingly said- "here let me give you guys a hand, I was a boyscout...actually, let my buddy mike help you, he was an eagle scout (as he's taking a huge rip from the bong)", and nearly everyone there was like "oh yeah....shit I was an eagle scout too".

I've been asking pretty much every new person I smoke or trip with since then, and at least three quarters of them admit to being boy scouts.

I think its pretty hilarious, even my room mate was a boy scout. He would have made it to eagle, but he was kicked out for being gay.

Yeah me and my other eagle buddy both smoked down on one of our trips to the MI state police training facility in Lansing. We just locked our dorm room and blew the smoke out the window and sprayed enough axe to make our own hole in the ozone layer. His dad is a state police detective, I guess he isn't good enough to realize his own son is a stoner. That was fucking INSANE!:crazy2:

Another Eagle scout here.  I'm surprised to see so many here actually.  IRL I don't often meet very many people who were involved with scouting, let alone made Eagle.
