I voted don’t care because I don’t but don’t they have girl scouts and brownies?:shrug2:  Is it really necessary?  It just proves all these arguments about race and wage gaps aren’t because they want to be equal they just want to step into some already established shit and have what another person earned.  Black folk dont want equality they want your shit and for you to be gone.

In my eyes it’s hilarious that whoever is organizing the girl scouts failed so hard and isnt willing to apply themselves that they need to come over to the winning team.  Just call it scouts and let everyone join if it’s really an issue.  I wonder if boys are going to fight to be able to join the brownies or girl scouts.

Isnt  girl scouts and brownies for girls? They should just make it a generic scouts if they want to promote equality or whatever.

This is how i see it. Boy Scouts is the masculine version of Girl Scouts, therefor masculine females should be able to join.

Look at welding. A male-dominated profession, yet female welders are joining too. This goes back to WWII, way back.

Same with male-type sports such as MMA fighting. Now women are joining. TV Wrestling too.

It was made for boys but to say its "strictly" for boys is silly. It should be for anyone who thinks they can handle it.

Women MMA fighters only fight other women MMA fighters...
So it's a female version of said sport...
Same as Hockey. Women play it, but against other women.. not against men..

Boy Scouts is cooperative, for the most part. Its also individual as well. U earn badges, for yourself most the time.

When people fear exclusivity they demonstrate their inability to cope with personal differences. As far as I’m aware, personal growth is an important part of the whole process and forcing this is counter productive to that, in my eyes. When did it become too “mean” for boys to be boys? Ah yes, I ‘member. When the Boy Scouts had to deal with being forcefed a particular ideal in regard to transgenderism. This is their compromise. Sad day indeed, when people chomp at the damn bit to get at those glorious participation trophies.

I think it's great. I learned a lot in scouts, and I did a lot of things other kids never got to do. The outdoors aspect was my favorite part. At its best I was out with my dad and friends hiking through the middle of nowhere and sleeping under the stars at least one weekend a month. I absolutely loved it.

Right now Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are two totally separate organizations. If I had fraternal twins, one boy and one girl, and enrolled the boy in Boy Scouts and the girl in Girl Scouts both when they turned 10, by time the boy turned 18 he would have gone on yearly week-long camping trips, learned to survive in the woods/an emergency situation, basic first aid, gone rappelling, gone canoeing, gone kayaking, gone hiking, learned how to make useful knots and fires, learned to fish, learned basic cooking/outdoor cooking, seen some beautiful wildlife and country...the list goes on. Not to mention Eagle Scout is something you can put on resumes the rest of your life.

The girl would have gotten to sell cookies and make arts and crafts. My wife was a Girl Scout and backs me up on this...there's just no comparison. It's not something you put on a job resume and the opportunities given by the Boy Scouts just don't exist for Girl Scouts.

I want my daughter to have the same opportunities for learning and experiences that my son would have, and that I had, in scouts :shrug:

The boy scouts, up until recently, didn't allow gays into their ranks...now they're allowing girls?? Sounds to me like desperate measures to build up the ranks again. Now, if only they would do away with the Christian requirements by allowing atheists, they may get somewhere.

The boyscouts has been a fundamentally white Christian male organization for way too long. Some of the kids that could use some of the nature oriented teachings are never recruited because they live in the city and are probably not white.

"Desperate people do desperate things" is what comes to mind when I read about this...they must be hurting as an organization. Also, The Girlscouts is a great organization and young women seem to strive in all girls setting...I think they said that every female astronaut was at one time a GS. Boys and Girls should be kept separate in the scouting game.

Yes and they're both gay and stupid as fuck.

Unfortunately girl scouts is still largely stuck in 1950 and their training gears towards being a good house wife while boy scouts teaches boys how to be self sufficient in a variety of situations.


Girl scouts don't even bake their own fucking cookies anymore.
