Haha, why would it be personally man?  We are debating Lsd in a thread on the shroomery, if you are taking anything here personally you should take a deep breath and go get a hobby.


All I said is that kind of info I'm not comfortable talking about where everyone can read. You're looking way too deep into this and getting extremely aggressive over posting online man.

It's my opinion that hippie is a falsely-used umbrella term for a whole lot of subcultures.

I'm only 20, so I never lived through it, but it's my opinion that the Hippie 'movement' (per se) was all about overthrowing the status quo authority (parents, school, law, etc) and therefore, experimentation (doing yr own 'thing'). The hippie spirit is 'revolution' and 'experimentation'--that's it! Once you've established some sort of scene via revolting/experimenting... it loses it's hippiness. That's why PETA isn't a hippie-organisation, it's an animal rights organisation. Dredlock donning dudes that are blazed 24/7 aren't hippies--they're stoners.

As the Diggers said at the end of the Summer of Love: The hippie is dead; long live the free man!

P.S And to think you know your L came from Georgia?  I really doubt there is a chemist down in Georgia crankin out crystal for you pal......someone down there may have gotten it and sent it up your way, but it's made overseas.  And the dude who told you he ate a 250 mic hit and these were half as strong....think about it........he probably got a hit that was truley 100 mics and now hes eating 50 miced hits, jesus man.........


some of my bases have been from yagemans post from a long time ago:  yagemans post on LSD dose effects

i have ate several 8ths, and according to yageman (who was using mic'd hits) 250 mics feels about like an 8th, i have felt the confusion of on an 8th of fungus, about the same level of visuals (walls melting, patterning, etc, you know, basic visuals) but with a lot more control than an 8th of fungus (personally, an 8th sends me a little further out than 2 of these white on whites) on 2 of white on whites, that is how i am attempting to base what i ate.  he seems to have a pretty accurate grasp on how much LSD does what (after reading trip reports as well.)

Just taking one glance at that post by yageman, I can tell you that the doses he listed were probably complete guesses.  He might believe he's right, but I think his post there is meaningless.  Well, actually, he's probably not guessing.  I could have just as easily made something like that based on the bare knowledge I have of LSD's effects.  He's taken some rough guidelines and interpolated.

I mean come on, he's claiming to be able to tell LSD doses to +/- 10 micrograms.

Indeed. My sentiments exactly. If psychedelics don't open up EVERYONE to love and unity etc, well than I am sorry for those individuals. The stereotype comes from somewhere. It obviously has had a very positive impact on a lot of people. Call those people hippies, call them bridge trolls, call them the Bride of Frankenstein. Whatever. But when you lump a group that is as diverse as those who have enriched themselves with entheogens under one label, you are never going to be able to form an accurate picture of them all, positive or negative. Hating on such an inaccurate label is just silly and close minded. But whatever. Rage on...

Don't be a moron; most people know hippies are harmless; that isn't what got acid illegal. The fact it helps break you away from this culture on the way to hell is, along with propaganda. We need to break the "acid to death" and "acid to meth connections", we need to do that with all safe drugs like shrooms, salvia, etc.

I call ignorance on that.  Modern culture is not going to hell.  I think the world is improving.  Don't be such a doomsayer.  If you really think that culture is on the way to hell, then I think you may as well give up right now because psychedelic drugs are not going to turn the world around.

Anyway, even if psychedelics did help you break away from culture, one reason they're feared is because people thought psychedelics would turn everyone into hippies.  Americans have this bizarre fear of social ideas which they don't like: communism, homosexual marriage, hippies.  If communism is such a bad idea, then why be afraid of it?  If hippies are so bad, why bother paying attention?

Psychedelics don't help you break away from a culture unless you actively try to make them do so.  In many cultures, psychedelics helped integrate cultures.  The action of a psychedelic on ONE person and their relationship to any particular culture is not static.

I'm sorry but it irritates me that people could think that the modern world is such a horrible place and that, even if it is, that taking psychedelic drugs is going to turn cultures around.  The modern world is not perfect, but psychedelics don't have to be represented as tools for breaking the prison chains.  Why not try to change culture if you don't like it?  A culture is not some sort of building that you can dissolve with acid.  A culture is a dynamic product resulting from our interactions.  What you might call "breaking away" from culture could just as easily be looked at as being "rational improvement."

Even though I do think psychedelics are beautiful and everything, I do also think that would be dangerous to advice people to try bringing down a culture through using psychedelic drugs.

No drugs is inherently safe.  All drugs can be made safer.  Thank your lucky stars that you do live in a modern culture where you are allowed to openly talk about prohibited substances without fear of persecution.

Giving everyone LSD is not going to make the world a better place.
