I consider myself a skeptic.  I'm a skeptic to the extent that the phrase "cogito ergo sum" ('I think therefor I am') does not even mean that I can deduce I'm a human being.  All I know is that I exist.

In interacting with people, my self (my body, emotions, etc) and my environment, I have to make a lot of assumptions.  I have to assume I exist.  I have to assume that I actually am a human being.  I also assume that we all exist in the same, consistent world (though I do look for inconsistencies).

Be skeptical.  Question everything.

Ah yes, Descartes' Meditations. Cogito ergo sum actually means "I am, I exist".

It seems like a problem because you can't get anywhere. But I guess where can we go? Where should we go? No one can say.
