Is S&P past it's prime?
    #4325277 - 06/22/05 04:54 PM (12 years, 1 month ago)

Too many threads are total repeats (How many 2012 threads do we really NEED?!) And now has degenerated to many pub-like discussions.

Are the glory days gone?

Well at least we have distanced ourselfs from paranormal subject (In which there is no progress, and no real discussion is ever going on), and talk about everyday phisolosphical issues

I wasn't around for the "glory days". Please tell what was so special about them and why is it so much less now? :mushroom2:

This place runs in cycles. It's hard to stay on serious S&P topics all the time. Give it a while. You know this.

Republican Values:

1) You can't get married to your spouse who is the same sex as you.
2) You can't have an abortion no matter how much you don't want a child.
3) You can't have a certain plant in your possession or you'll get locked up with a rapist and a murderer.

4) We need a smaller, less-intrusive government.

Well, we all wore tie-dyed clothes, ate Mescalito together and held hands in circles and sang uplifting songs while Fireworks_God played guitar and Hue played his shamanic drum until the sky ripped apart and the Mothership landed.

And that was just an average day...

The creator of all those Thanksgiving turkey threads is complaining about Pub-like threads in here? How ironic.

Who hasn't noticed this forum turned into the science-tech forum, pub and OTD.

Whats the surprise? nearly everything related to spirituality (the intangible) and religion (beleifs) gets shot down because it doesn't have a science fact base or is somehow holding science progress back or its delusional and derived from mental illness.

Whats left but general every discussions on life philosophies and sex? They can't even be considered true philosophies as the dictionary says that philosophy is about reducing everything down to nothing.

It's no surprise to come here and find posts now with "nothing" content They have been stamped with board approval for being acceptable here.

We have the Pub, we have OTD, we have science and tech. Why do so many want to keep turning this forum into those?

Religious types know their views are unwelcomed here. They are halting science progress and called superstitious and fearful. Philosophy types are accused of mental masturbation. Spiritual types who only have the intangible experience to discuss are reduced to mentally il delusional types having chemical imbalance reactions as the cause for all of their intangible spiritual/paranormal experiences and are accused of being in fear.

What is left to discuss but Ass Sex?

and the weather

It's cloudy and rainy here in sunny Tampa Florida AGAIN today!

Well don't you want to test your theories first before aranging your life around them?

What is the point of having a ritual that is supose to bring down rain, if it really does nothing, and all you have is a bunch of people dancing in the middle of a field?

It seems to me that many don't develop their "spirituality" to a point where it can stand scrutiny. There are some very spiritual people here IMO. They can handle anything that comes along.

But if you're not thought out, can't defend, or don't believe in your path; well then watch out.

This forum is pattycake compared to another I belong to. I have learned alot about what I believe and how I believe it under the scrutiny of some of the skeptics here. They don't bother me. In fact I like debate with them.

Religious types are no more unwelcome then anyone else. This is debate. If your ideas are undeveloped or unskillful then someone will point it out. And if that hurts too much you may just go away.

Just because someone is a skeptic doesn't mean they aren't spiritual.

I'm curious Jiggy. How would you see the perfect S&P? :mushroom2:

Yes, giving thanks and expressing gratitude is the antithesis to Spirituality.

I didn't say it was unspiritual.  Just Pub-like.
