My African Scam Adventure!
    #9103532 -

After reading this post, and reading 419eater for several hours, I've decided to fill some of my free time with scambaiting, and humiliate me some scammers.  I learned the best way to do this was to google various guestbooks with a fake email account to set the bait.  Not more than 2 hours after doing this I've already received a taker!  Mr. Robert Ofori, who I've already googled and learned to be a known scammer.  So the fun begins...

To make things easier for quick reading:
My emails will be in this color.
My bait's will be in this color.

My reply:

From the Offices of Mike Hunnterts
Miami, FL

Greetings Mr. Ofori,

I am pleased to see an investment opportunity of such magnitude come my way in such a timely manner.  Your proposition excites me, and to cut to the chase, it's piqued my interest.

I do however require more proof of your legitimacy, I'm sure a businessman of your stature will surely understand and comply with my caution.  My team of scientists specializes in the treatment of people with Cranial-rectoinversion, a serious mental disorder in which the individual struggles severely with introversion.  These people are very hard to reason with, and therefore very hard to treat.  I see your offer as a great benefit to my cause, and I would be ecstatic to make this happen.

We are currently researching a new drug to treat Cranial-rectoinversion, and the new drug's working name is getmah Hedoutmiassitol.  It's still in early development, and that's where you come in.  Should you choose to aid in the research and development of this drug I'll need to verify some things for my and my company's safety, as previously mentioned.

I hope to hear from you soon so we can begin this journey together.

Sincerely,
Mike Hunnterts

Why is it so easy to spot these scammers? You would think that if they were serious about it they would at least find someone that could word an email that wasn't so blatantly obvious.

Sadly they still do get people to take it hook line and sinker.

Has anyone seen the guy, Chris Hansen that does the show To Catch A Predator? He did another show called To Catch a Scammer and actually tracked down and cornered the scammers just like he did the pedophiles on his other show. It was extremely interesting how they showed how the organizations worked.

I thought it was somewhat interesting, but they seemed to sort of run out of material and dwell on the 'victim' sending tons of money overseas .  After watching it, I learned more about how dumb people could be, rather than how sneaky and vicious these scammers are.

I have to admit, I WAS surprised to see how fast those guys in IRC used those credit card numbers.  That was insane.

I liked the part where he went to London (I think) and met up with the dude in the hotel and completely caught him off guard. The look on the guys face was priceless.

Okay, I THINK this is him.  I only responded to 2 other people, one claiming to be an African niece of mine and that other I only wrote back a few lines of response...

Dear Mike,

Thanks for finding time to response to my mail. I am honored.

I believe my first mail to you was self-explanatory. But if you need some more details, I would want you to send specific questions to me. I will be very much obliged to answer your questions, ASAP.

Meanwhile, the summary of what I want from you is that I want you to be my Financial Receivership Consultant. I want to receive the said money from two different sources I have rendered some assistance to in my official capacity, but I can not directly receive the money, because I am still in public service.

I will appoint you as my receiver. You will receive it and send the money to an account I will nominate much later. You will take your 20% out of the money before doing so and 5% of to compensate for any incidental expenses incurred by both parties.

Hope this is clear enough. But if not, please ask specific questions and I will sure answer.

Note that everything about this transaction is safe and secure. You do not have any cause to fear or worry, as what I just want you to do for me is to stand in as my financial receiver. This is not a FRAUD, Please.

Moreover, I would want you to feed me with the following details:
FULL NAMES,
FULL ADDRESS,
AGE,
SEX,
OCCUPATION,
TELEPHONE number and FAX if any.

So that I can use it to complete the Agreement and as well proceed with all necessary arrangements for the fund transfer.

I thank you very much for your assistance and I look forward to a mutually rewarding relationship between us.

My very warm regards,
Udo Eromasele.

My Response:

Dear Sir,

I didn't send a message to anyone named Udo Eromasele, I sent a message to Mr. Robert Ofori.  I assume you gentleman work for the same firm?  If this is the case, can you explain to me what I sent in my email to Mr. Ofori?

Thanks for your patience,

Mike Hunnterts
