Getting back at RC scammers -- is this a good way?
    #12107842 -

Hey all,

A friend of mine got taken for 50 bucks trying to order 2C-E.  The guy stopped emailing him after he sent him the money and nothing has arrived after a few days.  It's only 50 bucks, but it still sucks.  I had an idea how he might be able to mess with the scammer a little and get some revenge--

The plan is a simple one -- email him from other email addresses and setup fake "orders" with him.  Give him fake Western Union or Money Gram numbers and when he goes to a location to pick it up, it won't be there.  Repeat the process saying "Oops, I messed up with the number, here's the correct one!" changing the number each time until he gives up.  Then mail him from ANOTHER email address and start the process over again.

Hey, at least my bud will get his 50 bucks worth of entertainment!  And hopefully the scammer will get really pissed, much like my friend was when he realized he got scammed.

What do you think guys, good idea?

What's the point? In the end he still has your friends $50.

You could put much less work into just making another $50.

Aren't these type of vendors known for taking weeks or a couple months to come through. I've read that a few times, so you might not jump to conclusions just yet.

Nah, then he'd have to get a second job... salary sux!  But it only takes a minute to send an email, doubt he could make 50 bux in that amount of time.

Nah, 3 to 5 days is what it's supposed to take, but this guy refuses to reply to emails since getting the money, yet when my bud sends him an email from a different address pretending to be someone else, he replies.

Scam-i-licious!

He can make it so he needs to change emails, which might end up costing the scammer money.  I would keep doing it from other emails with different typing styles.  You can also sign him up to as many spam sites as you can find.

Those hushmail sources only respond to customers who have been referred by another trusted customer so your random emails will be ignored.

Well so far this scammer hasn't ignored them.  He's biting so I guess it's time to reel him in a little.

Hey question - do we keep a list on here of Scammers?  Not a source list with legit sources of course, but a scammer list of just scammers to help spare our Shroomery bro's and sis's some grief?

Yeah scammers can't be stopped through email.

Personally I would drive halfway across the country just to kick his ass, but that's only because I got the necessities and time needed to do so.

Or maybe he does but doesn't send orders out to unverified customers. He's still a piece of shit for taking the money tho.
