McCain tells supporters to be respectful of Obama

This seems like a complete 180; I, however, do respect him for standing up to some of his more ignorant supporters.  Good for McCain.

I just saw the video behind that story, McCain defended Obama against one of his supporters and called Obama "a good man, a family man" and that Obama would be a good president.

McCain just earned some class points IMO.

He was told by Party advisor's that he needed to do that because his rally crowds have been getting REALLY ugly over the past few days.

People in the crowds have been screaming "Obama's a terrorist. Kill Obama"

If those crowds got all amped up on hate and out of control, who knows what sort of race riot they could incite.

What if something horrible happened and McCain and Palin get blamed for inciting hate crimes.

This had to be coooled down by Party advisor's and fast.

The feds better be keeping tabs on those making threatening statements like that, that is unacceptable.

The feds keep tabs on the anti-war activists, I think those idiots saying "kill Obama" should hold a much higher priority for LE.

Pretty much. Don't know how they expected to get away with those accusations without them backfiring.
