What about Philospher stones?

I am thinking of making (colonizing) some Sclerotia, but I have a few questions and hopefully someone will answer.
1: Do I have to get seperate strains( syringes) that make up the philosher's  stones?

2: Is just a single syringe available for this purpose?

3: Can't you just eat the Sclerotia just the way it is? I heard of street peddlers in A'dam sell the Philopher's stone on the street...

I guess thats it for now :smirk:.

I have also searched and came up with much contridiction. I know that there is two ways: Ps. mexicana or Ps.tamp. I think of mexicana is perfect due to the shorter length of colonization.

thanks matts. I have already checked MUSMUSH and found a lot of info. Is there no suppliers of these (psilocybe mexicana and psilocybe tampanensis ) in the USA?

And these ,psilocybe mexicana and psilocybe tampanensis, are they just like cateogories, and there are sub-cateogories under them? What strains are recommended? Or did I just repeat myself there?

So when I get the bags for colonization, psilocybe mexicana and psilocybe tampanensis would be the strains the get right?

yeah not rye berries. it will grow on just plain white rice too. rye grass seed is very expensive for me. up to 10 times as much as rice. the syringes are expensive since it is hard to fruit the strains and hence they have very few spores to sell. they are well worth it though. you can always clone the sclerotia and regenerate again and again. stones can be kept in the fridge fresh for a long time, then cut open and cloned.
tampanensis and mexicana are different species. they are very rare to find in nature so there are only a few variants within the species on sale as opposed to cubensis which has lots
