WTF? The guy has 5 posts. How should he know what we usually call the stones? That was rude.
RR

RR, the term "philosopher's stones" came from the anime Full Metal Alchemist, and in my opinion has no business being bastardized into mushroom cult slang. not for the sake of the show, but for the sake of this science.

well that is what they are calling this fungi in Amsterdam, my sis even showed me the little abel that said philospher stones. That was like 3 years ago
I just figured it was a type of mushroom. Now i am getting into mycology so I asked her today what they looked like when I saw this post. She said they looked like rocky clumps just like the harvested ones that are pictured on shroomery threads.

So I don't get it this strain of fungi is grown totally invitro?
And why does it take so much longer to colonized jars?

ok ok, this is the internet, and i'm sorry if people interpret things incorrectly. if i came across as a dick, i'm sorry. and i have no vendetta against FMA, it's a good cartoon. i think hybridizing terms from alchemy into mycology should be minimized though. just my opinion, let's call a spade a spade and not a "philosopher's shovel".

Anybody know of any good guides for growing Philosopher's Stones. Also any places that sell spore prints for them to the United States. The species are one of these two or both, I'm not sure.

Psilocybe Tampanensis
Psilocybe Mexicana

They are truffle mushrooms...any help would be appreciated.

here is my favorite link for them http://www.shroomery.org/8420/Psilocybe-mexicana-P-tampanensis-sclerotia

yes. I grew atlantis the same way as I grew cubes. Print to LC. LC to jars of chicken feed. Here's the result:

I'm pretty sure he means the FMRC, which is having a huge sale. I am pretty sure he won't be satisfied if that is the case. Good luck though.
