I will not be pulling my money out of the bank, i think if everyone takes their money out then we will be even more fucked,

The real problem is these greedy goddamn CEO's of huge companies, paying them-self's millions of dollars for doing nothing,

I think America will pull through this and bounce back to be even stronger someday, just look at how bad it was in the 30's during the depression, and we came back from it, our economy was stronger then ever in the 80's, we need an FDR for president, and i don't see shit head obama or old man McCain being one,

What really pisses me of is this fucking war, draining our broke ass country of everylast dollar and more, and to fund it they keep printing more cash, making my money worthless, a hundred dollar bill is printed on the same piece of paper as a one dollar bill, but they are both worthless now, god only knows how long ago we ran out of gold, and just started putting ink on paper and putting a fake value on it,

I'm glad i have a shot gun and that there are plenty of deer here in the Virginia woods, and I'm glad i have an amazing fire starting ability

if the dollar were to collapse, i am lucky enough to have my grandparent's house out in the country which is completely paid off and has enough food to last many years. what worries me is not being able to finish college. i'm already in debt...if the banks collapse, getting the remaining 40k for tuition and board is gonna be impossible haha.

i don't really think it will get that bad though..

Neutral, I don't have any savings or debt, all of my assets are tangible.

The market is designed to appear chaotic while remaining completely under control.
Economic depressions are how certain folks make their money.

It won't collapse fully, not for a while anyway, they still have more underground cities to build first.

I contemplated taking out my small amount of money when you said the Icelandic economy had crashed yesterday.

Today all over news is 'Bank's share prices fall sharply'.

Tomorrow I'm going to withdraw half of what's in my account. Then, I'm going to keep and eye on the current situation and if it appears to deteriorate any further then I'm going to take the rest out.

Here in Holland there is the Fortis story.

Fortis was one of the strongest institutions of the Benelux countries. It fell apart, the Belgian Gov't took one half, the Dutch Gov't the other half in a massive bailout. The Belgian gov't went "bugger that!" after a few days (perhaps having assessed the true value of what they had) and sold their half to France.
We had our own massive bank/insurance failure and subsequent bailout.

Seems to me that you might have mispelled prostitution, you said institution. and yes, she was split in half, but when she tried to bailout, im pretty sure they just tied your down. I could be mistaken, if so I appologize in advance for anything I may misspell.
