There was an interesting article a few years back abut terraforming Mars. First thing the writer suggested was to build nuclear power plants that would put out tons of pollutants and carbon dioxide to help create cloud cover to warm the planet. He figured it would take about 200 years once the furnaces were up and running. That was just for Phase I. Then an attempt would be made to introduce green plants to create oxygen.

The goal was to make the planet totally livable without (further) artificial life support.

Mars is a freeze-dried paraside,
200 years on HIGH and we're home.  :laugh:
