Think about it, man.  It's practically impossible to fall asleep on a psychedelic even if you're tired, and this is what throws a lot of normal people into a bad trip.  And you're talking stimulating your CNS with another drug to try and get to sleep?  :confused:

Yup, psychs are not the answer.  Maybe some benadryl (or under the sleep-aid brand name Unisom, whichever's cheaper)? A couple diphenhydramine or dimenhydrinate put me staight out.

Benadryl's bad stuff, man.  That will only contribute to his deliriant-esque hallucinations--above a certain point of sleep deprivation, it'll increase the visuals and voices far more than it will any drowsiness.

Natural remedies such as valerian root are really the way to go.

Heh, due to past deliriant (ab)use, now just one pill of 25 mgs Diphenhydramine will get me hearing voices and seeing my subconscious ooze out into reality.

Fun stuff, but not what I had in mind when I actually want to use the pills for their intended purpose.  :lol:

Haha, good to know.  I never had any desire to experiment with deleriants after my first experience though.  It was very valuable and interesting (I had no idea the brain could conjure such realistic visuals), but not a space I feel the need to revisit in the foreseeable future.

Definitely.  The load is so harsh on the body and the mind, and IMO one truly has to be free of all fear to get the most out of the experience.

One of these days I want to go out into the desert for a three day Datura trip, to face my fears and conquer them permanently.  It'll be a while (if ever) before I get around to it though.

Voices are a hallmark of sleep deprivation.  If there's a 24 hour pharamacy near you, it might be worth seeing if they carry melatonin.

meletonin never worked on me, i'm with you on not sleeping  being an insomniac myself (i also cannot sleep without bud, most people look down on it but i scrape my pipe for resin when i don't have bud. it may be some work or a bit gross but it's worth it if sleep is needed), but don't typically people collapse from exhaustion around the 11 day mark?
