Alright fuck this, I'm eating all these fuckers straight. He's right, I don't wanna have a halfassed Mary-Ann picking pretty posies trip. I'm eating them like animal crackers with Dr Pepper. I'll post reports to this thread.

These taste REALLY bad. I can taste them through mouthfuls of Dr Pepper. Not gag-bad, just...not pleasant at all. When should I expect this to hit me?

Edit: You should start feeling something after about 15 minutes.

This is from Erowid.org: 

Onset : 30 - 120 minutes
Peak : 1 - 2 hours
Duration : 5 - 10 hours (higher doses seem to last longer)
Normal After Effects : 1 - 5 hours

I once tried amanitas and they tasted like piss but I had no real effect, probably cause I felt asleep in less than 1 hour.

I'm feeling nothing but slight nausea, and I've got 2 1/2 caps worth that I just made into tea. I just heated the water slightly and added orange gatorade for the taste...it tastes like water, oddly.

That's the trouble; the damn thing puts you so far down under in dream cycles and layers of reality that it's hard to bring back tangible memories of the experience.  From what I can remember, most of my trips involve a sense of infinite time loops, of shrinking indefinitely until you perceive your whole consciousness as God, of being told what to do by my subconscious (quit smoking!?) and when I agreed, being infused with a delicious omnipresent auro of euphoria, and of infinitely big dreamscapes where I could construct anything I so desired.

And, well, if you're able to lucid dream consistently and/or have experience in maintaining trance states, you might be able to control your Amanita vision.  Personally, I prefer to dose right before bed and just let my subconscious take me for a ride.

Smoke ganja!  Weed is a must-have for the experience, IMO--it makes getting into that trance state THAT much easier.

I has no weed :frown: and I can'ts gets it either. Most depressing summer ever; saw all my dealers graduate and get proper jobs :tongue:

I'm noticing an "enhancement" of the colored lighting coming from the TV...every time a color washes over the room it completely distracts me.

I've found the taste actually improves each time you ingest it--but I agree with you, it's pretty rank compared to normal shrooms.  Thedudenj could probably tell you something about how fresh Amanitas taste, but IMO the dried ones are just bad.
