1oz Amanita Muscaria

I just received one ounce of "A++ Washington" Amanita Muscaria. Scans of the bag and bits:


The caps look very well dried and preserved. I didnt expect to find just caps in the bag though...I'm guessing they are the most potent part. I ordered these from a reputable supplier...rhymes with jammin fartin.
What should I do? Eat them straight up? Make a tea? It says on the bag that theyve already been heated and dried...should be mostly muscimol at this point.
Suggestions welcome. Not putting it in my ass though. (a dry stash in my shitbox AMIRITE?)
Does this belong in another forum? I'm not sure if this is considered a psychadelic or not.

My dosage is usually a full ounce of dried Amanita Muscaria.  Just eat em straight, although you might not appreciate the taste so much.  Just have a chaser around for the aftertaste.

Munch on 'em, find a comfortable spot on your bed, and lie back in a meditative trance state and wait for the Mushroom to transport you away.

Definitely make tea because it is very difficult to consume a large amount of amanitas without throwing up. Tea will still make you have to puke but it makes it a lot easier to ingest a large amount. I highly recommend ingesting the entire ounce if you want to experience anything mystical. When I made tea out of 30 grams, I left my body and entered a gold dimension with a gold sphere hovering in the air. This dimension was the only thing I could perceive except for my friend's heads which were seemingly floating around this golden room. The only bad thing about ingesting this many amanitas is that you will sweat to the point that your clothes are soaked, your muscles will be severely twitching, and you won't be able to feel your body at all. I think the craziest part of the trip was the manner in which I entered the dimension and left the dimension. I slowly regrew my body coming out of it and the room slowly came back into my field of vision. Another thing is, these things knock you out. It is very difficult to stay awake on a high dose.

Is 1oz a good dose for someone trying it for the first time? :tongue: I'm pretty experienced with LSD, psilocybes, mescaline, DMT...I know this one is a bit of a wild card. I feel pretty confident because I've hardly ever had bad trips in a comfortable environment.
How do I go about making tea? Some stuff I've read wants me to boil it, but it says right on the bag that it'll destroy active components...should I heat water and add the powdered AM to it?

BTW, that sounds like a cool trip, and I'm pretty excited about this now after hearing all the "OMG DON'T DO IT YOU'LL SHIT A DRAGON AND IT'LL EAT YOU WHOLE AND THEN SHIT YOU OUT AND IT'LL REPEAT FOREVER ITS HELL" stuff.

moodion, i would eat maybe half ounce if this is your first time, they could very well be way too potent for your handling.

Well, lower doses don't really do ALL that much for me... I've found an ounce is where I get the heavy trip I'm looking for.  But yeah, as CptnGarden said, start low and work your way up.
 
And, really, although a tea works, if they're pre-dried then all of the neurotoxic ibotenic acid in the Amanita has already been converted to the safe muscimol.  You're fine to just eat them straight out of the bag with no preparation.

Whoa, I just ordered the exact same strain from the exact same vendor.  Never done amanitas before.  I say - you eat the whole ounce in silent darkness - then tell me how it goes =)

Please?  I am actually kind of nervous.  LOL.  If you're willing to give me a report I'll probably wait until after I hear how it went for you, otherwise I might eat em this weekend.  I was also debating whether or not to eat the whole ounce but I think I will.  I'd rather take a full dose than fink out and then claim I've experienced the drug anyways.

I don't think think there's really anyway to have a bad trip on amanitas. They supposedly block out the fear causing chemicals in your brain. Considering your experience with psychedelics, you will have no problem handling a 1 ounce dose. When I made tea I didn't follow any recipes. I just boiled chopped up pieces in water and squeezed all the juices out of them. Do a search for a tek on how to make tea because I'm sure it would be easy to mess it up without a tek to follow.

Misinformation.  You can have a bad trip on Amanitas, just like any psychedelic.  Erowid has a bunch, but this one was particularly unnerving:

I didn't mean to give misinformation. When I hit my peak from that 30 gram trip I thought I overdosed and had entered Hell for eternity until I noticed the sphere and when my friends re-entered the room I could see there heads. Even while I thought I was in Hell, I was not terrified like I should have been. I was just panicked by what I thought I had done to myself.

If you're going to eat the whole ounce, ingest it in fractions over a period of time so you don't have a bad trip. They don't take too long to take effect.
