I don't trust myself as much. 

I know that some writer's function well on alcohol; I just tend to feel like a doofus when I write while drinking.  I can't "feel" the story as well.

FOR SURE!  I can eat a lot of those...and I'm serious...A LOT.  I love to trip and trip and trip alll day and alll night...in fact I am on a 'mushroom break' right now because I out-shroomed myself this summer.  :grin:  When I return to using mushrooms in January, it'll be with more respect. 

I am all about acid and mescaline right now.

I'm also a big fan of acid.  I find I can get kind of cynical and cranky if I take it too regularly, though.

How about weed and writing? When I smoke and write, I find it much easier to lose myself in the concept of a story, but once I begin putting pen to paper I can hardly connect words to construct a sentence, let alone sentences in a paragraph and paragraphs in a coherent story. :lol:

Social drinking is quality, but sometimes drinking alone can be a very meditative experience.  Losing all inhibitions and being able to question who you are while pleasantly buzzing on some Jack Daniels is a definite experience not to miss.

The other night I got plastered and made some posts on that TPE thread about "women in America." I don't regret them per se, but they were rather odd and out of place.

Being plastered doesn't affect my writing ability at all, it just makes me write odd things. :lol:

I never really drink heavily alone.  I'll have a beer or two with a meal, or maybe sip on something later in the day or something, but I'm not drinking to get drunk, just for the taste of the beverage and the very mild relaxing effects (I've developed a bit of a tolerance, I think)

haha...yeah...I know what you mean.  I also tend to find myself doing really amazing and unusual things when I take acid on a regular basis.  I become a creative machine.  My "go power" goes wild.  I do things I ordinarily would never consider; all fear goes right out of the window. 

I love it!  I become super-human.  :crazy2:

Mescaline is sooo yummy...it's been years since I had any (my own - extracted) but I've been thinking about starting that up again...

Mescaline and acid to me are very similar, but I've never had too strong of a dose of mescaline, so I'm just kinda comparing the lower levels of relative dosing.

I know what you mean with the amazing things...when I take a low dose of acid I'm fucking super-man.  I just approach things with a supreme confidence, and solutions just seem to flow right too me.  Looking back on it, it may have been the people that I previously took most of my acid with that gave me that cynical view during those times.

Wonderful people surrounding you makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE in an acid trip (especially acid) I notice. 

I've had the most unbelievable experiences of my life on acid, but what made them so memorable were the folks I was around.

What is there to do besides drink when you can't get and MJ or mush???
There are some people I know that don't function well without one or both (mostly mary).

I don't know exactly what to do when I can't find them! Drunk doesnt qualify as a relaxing state anymore! When I was 19 it was awesome just to be drunk and now its just like damn Im going to get a hangover and acid reflux! I just moved near Boston and I've been dry for nearly a month! Going a little nuts so I wondered if some of you with more experience could help!

Girl...I'm near Boston myself, right on the outskirts.  PM for coordinates!  :hippie:  Maybe we could meet up. 

Most of my friends toke up and I enjoy being around them when they are high, because the vibe just changes into being more relaxed.  Personally, when I need to get relaxed, I read a book, do yoga or take a bubble salt bath.  Or just hang out with my stoned buddies...they're fun.

I love alcohol, I used to think it was shitty, would only drink on limited occasions. Lately I have been drinking a lot of beer, on a basically daily level for bit. I dunno if its a bad habit to form, but I enjoy a bit of beer in the evening. I dont that often get actually wasted.

I dont drink anywhere NEAR what I used too, but Id still like to quit...I drink about twice a week but usually to the point of a blackout.

I make it a point never to drink at home or I drunk dial people, fall down stairs, make a mess and make an ass of myself...I can only drink in public settings or its usually rather dangerous. I need people who will keep me in check but wont make me angry.

The problem with my trying to quit is that all of my friends are very heavy drinkers, besides a few who are very heavy pot smokers. I like to toke every now and again, but Im not one of those who needs it all day everyday to function.

I honestly try my best to moderate my drinking, but I always end up overdoing it, even when I have the best intentions, only bring so much money, etc; somehow I find a way to get inebriated.

Its rather out of place for me to be like that, Im fairly healthy in other aspects, hike regularly, bike regularly, eat organic and vegan, dont pop pills, etc. I dont see why I cant limit my drinking when I do it. I can go weeks without pot no prob, but I get cravings when I havent had a drink in a week.
