Cleaning spray bottles, did the bleach screw me?
    #8844521 -

I wanted to make sure a couple spray bottles were clean before I use them as h202 spray bottles, so I soaked them in some bleach water (pretty dilute, I would say no more than 10%) for about 10-15 mins.

Well my GF walks in and goes "You shouldn't soak those in bleach, it'll absorb into the plastic and won't come off"

I thought she was full of shit until I drained the water and sure as shit there is a slimy bleach residue feeling on the plastic spray bottles now.

I'm worried about using these bottles to spray my casings/tubs etc now cause I'd hate to kill anything off due to the bleach.

Is there a way to tell if the plastic of the bottles will tolerate being pressure cooked? I don't want to melt a bottle and ruin my PC at the same time so how can I get these bottles safe for spraying now?

Rinse the mister bottles several times with fresh water and they'll be fine.  The smell will still be there, but the mist won't hurt your crop.  Bleach is hardly toxic to fungi anyway.
