Thoroughly cleaning with a bleach solution should have killed any nasties. I always like to spray the inside of my terrariums with plenty of Lysol and wipe with a clean paper towel. I do this before using and every couple weeks while they are in use. Take cakes/casings out before using Lysol.

Unfortunately, the lizard already passed away. The good part was we didn't need to buy an aquarium.
