Just drank alcohol for the first time in eight months

I now realize why I don't drink.  :shrug:  It's not all that.  I feel better without it I guess. 

Just surprising.  I was expecting so much more.  I was the type of girl who would get shitfaced on a regular basis.  Oh well.

I don't like alcohol at all when it just comes to the effects.  I see no reason to drink it if you aren't in a social environment.

I like Captain Morgan. I drink a couple every now and then. I love the taste, but never drink more than a good buzz.

yeah, I was with some friends and I started craving an altered state.  MJ is out, and I had just stumbled upon an organic vegan wine, so I thought I'd give it a shot. 

Psychedelics seem to be the only mind-altering thing I enjoy these days.

i used to not care for drinking.  within the last 6 months, i've taken a liking towards it, greatly in fact.  it suppresses some feelings, and makes it easier to express others (those which i either suppress or have a hard time expressing).  i enjoy getting drunk by myself, just like i enjoy doing most chemicals by myself.  people seem to get in the way of my high

yeah, I don't know why I felt the need to express how I felt about this particular stroke, but the experience was interesting to me because seriously...I used to be able to drink people under the table.  Now I just feel better sober.

I used to be the same way; I was a ridiculously horrible drunk too...I would get angry and depressed all at once...would run down the street screaming at people, breaking shit, just causing general chaos.  Just about everytime I got severely drunk the clothes would come off, too.  For some reason I became a slut while drunk.

I just smoked pot for the first time in like a week and a half.  I'm really, really high.  And it was only a tiny bit.

Anyways, more on topic...I've been drinking a LOT more than I usually do this summer.  I guess I was in an environment that really...required(?) more drinking out of me.  I dunno, maybe I'm just starting to appreciate alcohol more.  It never used to be so great for me.

I didn't feel as astute and in sync with my reality when I drank earlier tonight, as I do when I am sober.  The buzz I got from it felt shallow to me. 

Glad you're enjoying it.  I'm sure I might still have a glass of wine from time to time - I just won't expect much anymore. 

As for pot, it's been about 2 weeks since my last toke for me.  I don't really like the buzz from that either anymore. 

GAHH!  I used to LOVVVE getting high and drunk, especially together. 

I don't really feel like I'm missing out per say...it's just unusual to witness this shift in myself. 

But HEY, for everyone who can appreciate a buzz from weed or alchy...more power to ya.  I guess I'm getting old.

So true.  Most of the times I've gotten "taken advantage of" were under the influence of alcohol.

I used to drink on a regular weekend regimen too, to the point of being shitfaced - otherwise, what is the point of drinking....!    :lol:
Must have been a phase I grew out of too....
I think I have had 4-5 beers all year, and don't feel like I am missing out on anything.....    :ohwell:

Well hopefully we'll be able to enjoy a bag of mushrooms or something together the next time I see you!

I definitely agree that I'm not as astute or in sync with my reality when I'm drunk, but I definitely find it enjoyable.  I fairly sure my drinking will subside again with school coming back in.  It's probably just a summer thing.

I've been less interested in pot lately, too.  I find I'm a lot less lazy when I don't smoke weed much at all.  Like I have a paper due on Friday that I should be writing now, but I chose to get high and procrastinate it instead.  I guess I probably would've done that tonight anyways even if I hadn't gotten high.

Never was much of a fan of drunk and high together.  I like to smoke a bowl at the end of the night right before bed, but that's about it.
