actually i dont think it's to bad of a pinset at all for a MS inoculation.  if you look closley there are pins poping up everywhere.  and a few more pins pop up everyday.  anyways what i can grow of from ms innoculations is plenty for me and my buddies.  i have yet to tackle strain isolation and cloning.... but soon i hope.

does anybody have any ideas why these are maturing so slow btw?  could it be just because it is from a ms inoculation?
maybe the light or the temps?  i posted parameters earlier in this thread

it could be the MS inoc...

it could be light.. I noticed after adding more lights to my martha, it helped.. idunno

whats you RH? FAE? How did you do your casing?

MS nocs DO work, but they just arent reliable.. lol..

yea im doing a bunch of reading on strain siolation right now and trying to figure it out.  there's a look of stuff to cypher through that i dont know that much about.

-anyways my lighting is (2) 4' fluorescent bulbs with a 6500k rating 12/12 on/off.  i think i have plenty of light. maybe to much?

-dont know what rh is off hand because i dont have a hygrometer in there.  but i have a fan blowing in the room bringing in fresh air from the window for 2on 2off.  not blowing direclty on the tubs either.

-i do mist (with a pump up sprayer lightley) twice a day because it has been so dry hear latley

-my casing is 50/50+  that i used RR's jar pasteurization tek to pasteurize

I would say start fanning out it by hand, as well.. it doesnt look like that fan is doing too much..

ummm.. really, without a hygrometer, we cannot tell if your RH is right...

yea i do fan manually right before i mist (sorry i didnt mention that).  i know mono's are supposed to be mad simple with no hand fanning or watering but i feel better if i do.

my next grow is going to be 2 mono's done up exactly the same and one will be completly neglected while the other with be hand fanned and misted daily just to see what happens.

im sure the rh is good in the tubs.  i mean there are alot of pins in there but they are just taking awhile to mature and some of them are maturing alot faster than the others.:shrug:

usually when pins stall out for a long time, there is a lack of moisture in the substrate.. I HAVE seen some strains that will just pause for a few days, then BAAAMMM!!! they blow up.. it may just be the strain, but if they are straight up aborting, then its probably substrate moisture...

nope they're not aborting at all, they all have red caps and they keep growing.  we'll see.  i think alot of it has to do with it being a ms grow like was suggested.  i keep the casing layer moist until it just glistens so i think the water content is fine.  ill keep everybody posted hopefully it blows up like you said.  that would be schweeeeeeeeet.

so here's the 2nd flush off just one of those 2 tubs.  no idea on wet weight yet maybe ill post that later.  the first flush was shit.  38 grams dry approx per tub so about 380 wet apiece.  i think this 2nd flush will blow the first out of the water.  im guessing our theriors were right in that the sub was to dry for the first flush

764 grams wet.  not bad.
