Uh, just water it alot. Anyway, id like to know how you start getting thousands of pins! Ill just stomp a few if theres too many. Try ripping them out if theyre that big

From what I understand the small ones are just as strong if not stronger then a full growen shroom. May not look good but you'll probably produce the same amount in weight over the full course of your flushes.

hes right in a way or 2

if you eat 4 little shrooms that equal up to a gram youll get higher then if you eat 1 shroom that equals to a gram but 1 little shroom wont get you as high as a really big one

My friend had a similar problem with a thin peat layer. It turns out if the top layer is straw, you got a few very larger shrooms. With just verm, you get more smaller shrooms, but still good sized ones though few. With pure peat, he got countless little ones that never really matured to anything worth picking/drying.
This is why 50/50 peat/verm is a good combination, because it gets a good cross between pin count and mushroom size.

My friend hasn't worked with coconut yet (though he greatly looks forward to it) but he would try sprinkling some vermiculite casing on the top layer, not for a thick casing but just to cover some of the coconut layer. This upper verm layer should produce less pins, while still taking advantage of the coconut.

I'm surprised though I haven't heard of coconut users complaing about too many pins yet. Maybe you can degrade some other parameters (airflow, humidity, etc) to reduce the initial pincount.
