Private Messaging

So I recieved an encrypted private message, and since I had set it up already a couple years ago I tried to decrypt the message. That would not work. So I created a new keyrepair thingy and asked the member to resend the encrypted PM so I could decrypt it. Still will not work. It says the password I entered is incorrect, but I just entered it like 10 minutes ago, I know what it was. What am I doing wrong? Thanks y'all.

I don't think you're doing anything wrong, there could be a bug, but first please try clearing your cookies and decrypting the message again... it will prompt you for your private key, and just point it to the file you saved. Let me know if that works or if you still have the same problem. (The "incorrect password" error can also mean the private key is incorrect, so this might fix it.)

Cleared my cookies, logged back in and tried to decrypt the same message, and it asked where my private key was and I showed it, and then it said the password is incorrect. Again! So maybe I should try another new keyrepair?

Does your password have any non-standard characters or perhaps a space at the beginning or end?

Well, it finally worked, not sure why...
I tried mr. rockefeller's suggestion and tried the pass key with a space before, then with a space after it. Neither worked, but then I tried the pass key just as I had done probably 30 times before, and it worked. Silly computer, silly user, thanks for trying to help Ythan and Rockefeller. Peace - TT
