I think this might be caused by your configuration. I'm running NT 4 as well, and the private messages work fine with Netscape 4.7. What puzzles me is that it tries to save read.cgi, but the other CGIs on this site works okay for you.

I made a small change to the script which might fix it for you. Give it a try, and if it still doesn't work please let me know.

It did the same thing to me the other day.
I'm running Win98 and Netscape 4.7 but I just
tested it and it's doing great.

OK, now I can read the messages fine, but when i reply to one I get a save box for the .cgi script ... so near and yet so far ... :smile:

Hmmm. I may have fixed it. If not, could you let me know exactly when the 'Save As' dialog box is coming up? When you click on 'Reply'? After you click to submit a reply? Etc. That'll help me find the part of the script I need to mess with. Thanks.

When I click on the grey 'send private message' button, a save box appears with 'sendmessage.cgi' in it.

I'm using NC 4.6 and I have the same problem when I try to submit a reply. When I try the same thing with IE4 though it works fine.
