First Trip...mixed feelings.

Hi guys. With the help of the shroomery, I grew my first batch of ecuadors. Having never tripped before, I was very careful in the setup and prepartion of my house for the trip. A friend and I both took about 5 grams of dried shrooms. I had no idea that the visuals would be so amazing. I was absolutely floored for about 3 hours, but the last 3 to 4 hours of the trip were absolute hell. I thought I had permanently destroyed my mind despite knowing that it would eventually go away. My friend's support didn't matter to me, and I just slipped in and out of reality, with intense hallucinations the whole time. It was just so overwhelmingly uncontrollable.

I really enjoyed the hallucinations and the first 3 hours of the trip. It was great, but I don't ever want to go back to that hell again. Never, ever again. I'm still not fully recovered from it, and it was almost two weeks ago.

I think I"ll give them another try, but maybe I'll go for way less dosage. Regardless, it will be a couple months before I try that even.

I wouldn't eat 5 grams of freshly dried shrooms for my first time.
That's just plain coo-coo.
Time will heal.
Do a few 1-2 gram trips and you will learn to love it.

5 grams is too much for your first trip. Why did you take that much?

Yeah man , kinda sounds like you dove into a pool wihout any water in it. Five grams is a lot for anyone to take on their first trip. I think I only ate 2 grams my first time and I was blown away by everything. Next time diffinity lower the amount of mushies. Stay calm and collective and you should be able to avoid your past situation... Havent had a bad trip yet, so I can't feel your pain!  :grin: **knock on wood** peace man :tongue:

5 dry grams is a lot for the first time. I also took 2 my first time.

2 is an amazing experience - I want to someday do 5g and maybe reach a level 5 trip, but I dont think I'm ready for that quite yet. I'm not even sure if I've reached a level 3. I'm easing my way up to a higher dose. Takes time though, I've been tripping only once every 2 or more months or lately.
