it releases endorphins and dopamine in your brain that relax you and give you a feeling of satisfaction. when i feel satisfied, i dont make an effort to do much else.

I get exhausted and lazy.  Especially getting high and having a wank.  After that, I just want to relax more.  If I accumulate any energy at all afterwards it's just for more fap fap fap.  My girlfriend is the opposite.  After she cums she wants to clean the house, tend to the garden or re-tile the bathroom..fuck that.  I wish she would put the extra energy into making my lazy ass a quesadilla.

i think it's because whether or not we choose to believe it, we are motivated by our id, and mainly, the sex drive. man has accumulated great wealth and marvels of technology just to get the opposite sex to notice and spread the seed a little further. i think all of our accomplishments could be traced back to the sex drive, if all the parties involved were alive for psychoanalysis.

that being said, after you get your rocks off, what else is there to do besides eat, nap, and do it again?

I find it leaves me focused to start a new set of tasks.  But if I come home from work or I'm really tired, wacking will only send me strait to sleep.

When you have an orgasm, your brain releases a rush of dopamine.  Dopamine gives you pleasure and maxes you feel motivated (among other things).  When your brain detects that rush of dopamine it releases a hormone called prolactin.  Prolactin counteracts the effects of dopamine...usually causing a drop in dopamine "effects" to lower than usual levels.

This explains why you lose motivation after a wank.  Sorry Freudian guy.
