Are there police searches when trying to get to Schwagstock, thanks this will be my first one, just curious.:grin:

if the schwagstock ur talkin about is the one in missouri then yes..last year i went and me and my friends had to go thru 2 checkpoints on the way in..but they didnt search us...just asked for insurance..i think they were just looking for drivers who were fucked up or something but we had just cheefed in the car so it was a little nervewrecking..just be cool and they shouldnt be able to do shit..

There's a roadblock usually about 1-2 miles before you hit the gravel road with the "Camp Zoe <---" sign.  Just don't smoke on the way down and you'll be cool.  Going to Springjam, they asked us for our identification and proof of insurance and then questioned about our cigarettes because they're bitch pigs.  We just told them we were in the area for a weekend of camping.  They did a field sobriety test for being high on pot (the bullshit one with the flashlight) and i passed because i never smoke on the way down there.  They're looking for a reason to bust you, just don't give them one by having the smell of pot in the car.

Drive safe and you'll be cool.  Also, late at night (like past midnight) they put up and usually there's no roadblock.  If you want to be extra safe, stash any goodies you might have before you even leave town so you don't have to worry about anything when you see the checkpoint.  Drive extra safe if you're going through Rolla or Salem because the police there definitely know the festival dates.

If you come from the South of the festival and pass through Eminence, there is not much to worry about. I have never had to pass through a checkpoint, but I don't go through Salem either.

I suggest going down to Eminence a few days before you want to arrive and getting a sweet cabin on the Current/Jack's Fork river. That way you won't have to deal with all that Salem shit.

As a general rule for all festivals, I am sober there and back, and enjoy my time there. Police don't really mess with Schwagstock.

I wouldn't set foot near Bonnaroo. Especially with the particularly crappy musical lineup this year.

I've never been to a Schwagstock, but I went to Camp Zoe for a festival last year.  There weren't any cops, but there were locals that poked their head inside my car (literally) and checked my cooler for glass bottles.  That was it.

There was ALL KINDS of drugs at that party, too.  People doing the whole walking, shouting, "Rolls!  Doses!  Mushrooms!"  deal...

So, if I am sober there and back and don't look suspicious, I won't get searched?  And what about drug dogs? I know I sound kind of paranoid, but I would rather be cautious

yea you shouldnt get seached...as for drug dogs i have no idea...the checkpoints i went thru didnt have dogs luckily..

Good rule of thumb.

However, police do mess with Schwaggers if you happen to pass through Salem to the North. Fucking with festival freaks is a source of funds for the police.

I have heard there is a hippie friendly store that will throw out a tye dye flag if there is a roadblock ahead so the freaks can bypass it.:thumbup:
