OH YEA!! I forgot I can search teh internetz!!!! IM GONNA GO DO THAT NOW!!!

Seriously, get off my thread you peabrained moron. Sometimes some things cannot be searched; Hve you ever waded through swaithes of scientific literature?
Sometimes the best approach is to ASK peope who know what they're doing. RogerRabbit, for example. Who i've now spoken to and this project has taken a different direction. I was mearly canvasing for information AS PART OF MY RESEARCH. You view everything from the bottom up and then wonder why you can't see the rest of my efforts. Well guess what? Its because you sit on shroomery and because you don't occupy 99.99% of the internet. Man, you must have a crap life. You sit on shroomery flaming people because you don't like the idea of even discussing something new or different. I thought of this idea, and you are jealous and or have some problem with discussing the probability of it. If you were a true scientist you'd leave some comment along the lines of 'neigh on impossible in my opinion, but go ahead and try'. But instead you leave a paragraph of personal insult and non-constructive criticism. If you don't think its possible? Say so politely and shut the fuck up.

Guess what too, theres an expression for this :

DARE TO DREAM.

*sigh* After all that,
does anyone have any ideas? I am searching for a different reagent (perhaps the active principle) from snake venom. If I can find it, i'll definately tell shroomery about it.

you are right I was being a dumb ass by flaming you. personaly I think it's stupid to flame people for no reason and don't really have an excuse for myself being in the mood to do something like that. even though I think this project will never go anywhere I wish you the best of luck.

T.Y ... After all that, It is a bit of a dead end. The options are: Electrolysis, Enzymes, Gene-splicing or selective breeding. All of them are slow, painstaking processes and with the exception of electrolysis, are outside the reach of the average home cultivator.

However, I am going to continue to research into somatic fusion via electrolysis

Oh yea, And also growing some Gymnopilus spectabilis;
Big Laughing Gym. Its a wood loving psilocybin (& other alkaloids I've never tried)
producing mushroom which incurrs fits of histeria in users.

sounds good :laugh:

Everyone always wants to make a strain that's faster growing, or more potent. But you know what I want? A transgenic strain that is resistant to an antifungal agent. So we could mix it in with our substrate and kill trichoderma and cobweb without harming our mycelium.

Oh and an antibiotic to kill bacteria so that we wouldn't even have to PC grains. Hell yeah, bitches.

Definately. That'd increase yeild and success rates indefinately; it'd also help out a shitload with agar. Im pissed off with the continual 4/10 plates from every batch that come back fucked up. (okay, so you only need 2 to make it work and innoc loads of others, but its still a pain in the arse.)

Im watching a thread on mycotopia... hxxp://forums.mycotopia.net/fungi-growing-edible-medicinal-magic-mushrooms/33189-contam-control.html#post518061

which promises to be interesting.

fuck buying loads of gentamycin sulphate $$$$$$ :o(

Also I saw some one talking about strange mating practices being related to HIV. There is more evidence to suggest that it was created by early small pox vaccination efforts. Some one else said that there weren't any diseases related to that tiger lion cross. Really no diseases what so ever? That's one hell of an accomplishment. Anyways don't lose sight of wanting to challenge boundaries, just be realistic.

Thats not one hell of an accomplishment.

I don't know where everyone got caught on to the HIV thing from but let me clarify.

HIV came from an existing but simmelar disease called SIV (simian immunodeficiency virus) which was common, but not fatal in monkeys. When the disease crossed the human/simian barried (that'd be by blood, bodily fluid or yes indeed, sexual intercourse) the disease became fatal for humans. Leading over time, to AIDS and death.

Now, please somone tell me where you got the idea that crossbreading animals gives rise to epidemic retrovirii that have taken thousands of millions of years to evolve; like HIV? these things don't just pop up you know!
the reason HIV is so significant is because it is something quite unique. These things don't just come and go.

Secondly, no one I know has EVER created a virus by any kind of husbandry.

Thirdly, Nor gene splicing.

If I could hazard a guess, I would say that what you are talking about is defective or undesirable genetic traits being expressed in the resulting offspring. This is quite a different matter.

Do not confuse the two!

A lot of people, probably most, will laugh at this, but I will say it anyway:

The solution to the problem of crossing two different species of mushrooms, and the solution in most questions of genetic engineering, can be found through the use of paranormal mental abilities. Specifically, "remote viewing" and "psychokinesis" will enable genetic engineers to use their minds to alter the DNA code in living cells with truly fantastic results.

We humans are reaching a point in the sciences where all of the great challenges exist on an infinitesimal scale of exceeding subtlety that eludes the mechanical methods at our disposal. Sub-atomic physics, quantum computing, genetic engineering, to name but a few disciplines are all challenged by this physical limitation. Scientists must now turn inward and strive to develop scientific methods that utilize the latent powers of the psyche to overcome the limitations of the physical. Yet new methods of "psychic science" must maintain "objectivity", yield reproducible results, and, generally speaking, advance the Cartesian method of deductive reasoning.

This goal is the union of the scientific and the mystic knowledge traditions. I view this as the golden key to mastering the world, and when this golden key is found, indeed, an age of wonders will dawn. I think it is not so far away as most would suppose.

dude, Im not one to crush your views but SERIOUSLY.

firstly most psychics themselves will insist about special rules under which the powers can be tested;

and secondly, every single scientific test that I know of, has either produced inconclusive results,
or results that are only fractionally above average.

NOTHING conclusive has ever been logged.

correct me if im wrong;

but you actually can't beat a bit of high energy proton bombardment to actually,
you know,
effect things.

Other than just sitting wanking your temples all day and hoping for a goddamn miracle.

I can't believe your for serious.

I am all one for interest in strange things, I enjoy it, its intruiging - But you should
remember and not get too attached to things you have no evidence to substantiate. Its called
being an irrational beleiver; And the fact that you've not an irrational beleif in an all-powerful
deity who has no reason to be tested (because its beneath her) but in a bunch of comic book powers,
I think you need to get a reality check. You were either always one to fantasise and then seek to
live that fantasy, or you've eaten a few too many.

You know which one.

This thread has been closed.

Reason:
Since to date there is no cube/azure hybrid and the thread has drifted off topic anyway, it's time to put it to rest.
